Actually, how do you feel about asking those 3 why they shouldn't stump and then going from there?

Point of interest during my reread: (going through pages 21-26 first)
In post #307, SSBF goes after Cello and Omis pretty hard, and has Summoner as his third option. Omis wasn't getting a lot of heat back then, (nor was SSBF), so I highly doubt that it's a bus. It makes me think that SSBF and Omis are opposite alignments.

more on my last post, I'm thinking a question like "Why shouldn't you be stumped over these two and who do you think should be stumped first?"

The more I read, the more I think SSBF is scum. Check out his example of how he "goes after Pierre" in his #353. A one liner. That he never pursues. If Pierre flipped town, that wouldn't really matter, but since he flipped scum, it REALLY feels like soft distancing to me.

Alright, read pages 21-26. Now that I've seen that, I'm much less confident in mentos being town. Although his initial townie read on Cello is good, as time goes on, he receives heat for it and backs off, saying Cello not stumping has hurt his town read. The thing is though, he clearly understood the benefits of Cello not stumping immediately (to provoke reactions that wouldn't happen once Cello was cleared). So, he shouldn't have had a problem with Cello staying unstumped for a few days. Sure, if Cello was still unstumped after a week and deadline was approaching I'd have a problem with it, but a few days is fine, IMO.

Also, a lot of his recent posts seem more focused on self-defense and staying alive rather then scumhunting.

Unfortuantely, I don't really see a whole lot of interaction between him and Pierre (correct me if I'm wrong on this), so no read from that.

So, Mentos is now neutral-leaning scum.

Cello, I'll take you up on the SSBF-Omis-Mentos offer.

In accordance,

Virtual vote: SSBF

Consider tHe-Man as a stump candidate too. Since I'm confident at least one of Mentos and SSBF will be scum, we should have credit for another person. Let's do SSBF first, at any rate.

I have to go somewhere now, but I'll finish rereading and post more thoughts later.

Stump vote: SSBF

Also, although the intent is obvious, make sure that your votes cannot be counted as real votes. Not bolding it, or just Virtual: [name] should be fine.

I would really like Fan to make that post where he said he was going to give his opinion on everyone in the game.

Also I want to look over Pierre's posts now that he is confirmed scum.

Note: For any scummy acts I've done, I take responsibility of it and will not blame it on others.

I've finally done my re-reading of all living players in the game. I'll list them from most pro-town to scummiest:

First off, we can elminate HeatStroke, Brockin, Pierre The Scarecrow, and Cello Marl. Cello, HeatStroke, and Brockin are confirmed townies while Pierre The Scarecrow is scum. This leaves us with eight remaining, including me. Not including me, this is how I rank them from most pro-town to scummiest:

1. *The Jester*/Nicholas1024
2. The Paprika Killer
3. Today/Mentosman8
4. tHe-Man
5. Sworddancer.
6. SummonerAU
7. Omis

*The Jester*/Nicholas1024:

High activity level, high content level

To be honest, *The Jester* only post wasn't really good. I didn't agree with us to start scumhunting on Day 2. Every day is a day to gather information.

Luckily, Nicholas1024 is an fantastic replacement. He's been very active, contributed a lot to the discussion, did some strong scumhunting, and his two analysis is fantastic. The chances of him being scum is near zero and I would be shocked if this was the case.

The Paprika Killer:

High activity level, moderate content level

Another great player in the game. He's been doing a fair amount of scumhunting and has been relatively active. I'd like to see an significant town post from him, thought (He hasn't commited any form of scum tells yet, but I'd like to see an big post from him), then he could compete with Nicholas1024 for the top spot.

Today/Mentosman8:

High activity level, high content level

Both are great players. Today only made five posts, but each one were made with high contents in the game, not to mentioned he asked some pretty good questions.

Mentosman8 is about as good. He's really active in the game and I really to admire his commited to the game and made great defenses against Cello Marl. He also asked some really good questions as well and has generated a lot of discussions. However, I haven't really seen him scumhunt that much, given his disappointing lack of vote on anyone. Plus he contradicted himself once. On one of his earlier posts, he said that we should stump as much as possible. Later, he said we couldn't win without lynching. Now yes, since we don't get anymore extensions by stumping, we should lynch eventually, but that doesn't mean we can't stump as many people as possible.

Overall, however, the pros outweigh the cons by a fair margin.

tHe-Man:

Mild activity level, moderate contents level

Had an amazing start with his exceptional offense against Cello Marl. He was really active back then and did some strong scum hunting. He, however, has gone downhill recently. He's currently very inactive and hasn't done much recently. I understand that Ryker is gone until tomorrow, but that doesn't mean Xonar can't use tHe-Man for now. Hopefully, he'll come back big. For now, I give him an slight town read.

Sworddancer.:

He's done some form of scum hunting and he was doing decently early on. But I have noticed some things I don't like about him.

First off, his analysis. At #154, he promised to finish his analysis in the next post. Nine days later and it's still not here. That means he has a lot to catch up on.

I'd also like for you people to know that when Brockin was getting close to jumping the shark (AKA stumping), Sworddancer took part in parroting Cello Marl, which I find scummy.

On top of that, after his decent early Day 1 game, he went inactive and he didn't post much. I'm guilty of the same thing, but at least I muster up the commited to avoid prods. Sworddancer has been guilty of this.

So far, he's looking slightly scummy to me and I wouldn't mind him stumping.

SummonerAU:

From early in Day 1 to mid Day 1, he was pretty useless. Relatively inactive, HUGE amount of parroting Cello Marl, and lacked scum hunting.

Right now, he's looking a little better since I've finally noticed him putting in efforts in the game. Despite this, he gets an fairly scummy read from me.

Omis:

First act of scummiess was when he decided to talk about gameplay mechanics when we already had an serious discussion going, which looks like an attempt to derail the thread.

Until Cello Marl fliped town, he for the most part spent most of the game echoing what Cello Marl said. Then when he realized that Cello Marl didn't immediately stump himself he said "Oh, I don't trust him". This would be fine if Cello fliped scum, and it was earlier since we had no idea of Cello's alignment, but I'm not going to let this fly. Not only that, it parrots what Mentosman8 said against Cello Marl when he didn't stump immediately as he promised.

He has also done minimal scum hunting in the game. All he's done for the most part is asks questions.

Only two posts from him can even be considered decent at best, Just two. They were #93 and #429. Everything else has been mostly fluff.

He has an very scummy read in my eyes. I was really disappiointed with Omis here. In the Social Thread, he challenged us to beat him. Sadly, it looks like he's not putting much effort to live up to his name.

___________________________________________________________________________________

I challenge Omis, Sworddancer, and SummonerAU to challenge there part of my analysis. Prove me wrong.

And to end this, I Virtual Vote: Omis

Guys, if you were to stump me, make sure Omis gets lynched by the end of the day unless he improves.

Okay, I was looking over Pierre's posts to see his thoughts on other players, to see if I could find any potential links. Everything he saids about stumped players I'm going to count as irrelevant. Here's what I've came up with:

post 29: he saids some now irrelevant stuff about cello and Brockin. he randomly votes for *The Jester* (Marshy, Nicholas1024).

Post 39: asks *The Jester* questions. same with Brockin. unvotes and votes Omis.

Post 41: an irrelevant attack on Heat.

Post 45: irrelevant

Post 52: attacks Cello. answers Heats and Today's (Mentos) questions.

Post 119: attacks Cello, tHE-MAN, and Today. defends Heat. Asks *The Jester* and Sworddancer. for input.

Post 122: attacks/questions SummonerUA.

Post 123: states he has a null read on SSBF. asks Paprika a question.

Post 127: decides he does not want this game to be turned into popcorn mafia. attacks cello and Today.

Post 214: answers a question for Cello. tells heat that he didn't have to stump. questions Brockin. saids bye to Marshy. states he understands ssbf and answers his concerns. complains about a prod

Post 215: states he wants to hear from Nicholas and Mentos.

Post 217: attacks and questions Omis.

Post 218: takes back a question he asked Brockin.

Post 227: replies to an accusation made by Cello. asks Cello a question. Overall irrelevant post.

Post 229: attacks/questions cello. attacks omis. defends Brockin.

Post 240: attacks/questions cello. defends why he didn't want omis to stump. defends Brockin.

Post 246: requests cello to clarify a point he made.

Post 276: attacks omis while answering cello's question. Also answers Mentos question. attacks Summoner and Nicholas and to a lesser extent Sworddancer and tHE-MAN.

and that's all

So, a list of what he has done (in general) to who

Attacks/busses:

Cello (doesn't matter)
Omis

He also attacks/busses Today and tHE-MAN to a lesser extent.

Defends:
Heat & Brockin (both irrelevent now)
himself (of coarse)

Leaves alone:

For the most part, everyone else.

It is also important to note who Brockin doesn't really speak to. It is a possibility that scum buddies would probably just avoid each other for the most part altogether.

Of Course, this doesn't narrow it down much, and there is no way of knowing rather or not Pierre was actually doing this, but I do think that it is interesting to note who Pierre focuses on nevertheless.

If we look at the main people he attacks/defends, we can see that 3 out of 4 are now confirmed town. Omis is the only person who is not confirmed. I think this makes it more likely that Omis is not scum, as each other person Pierre focused on IS confirmed town, so I would think that it would be more likely than not that Omis is no different.

Pierre seemed to be pushing a strong case against Omis. Now, I'm aware that Pierre might of been bussing Omis, but I don't really think that. He seemed to be pushing a legitimate case against him.

So, this might sound weird, but right now I'm now less suspicious of Omis.

Besides Omis, I think it's also interesting that Pierre seemed to have a distanced but nice relationship with ssbf. This makes me a bit more suspicious of ssbf.

So what does everyone think of this? How does Pierre's interactions with others give any of you guys any leads, if at all?

including myself in your posts
Mentos:
#36: Pretty simple neutral post. Nothing really to be gleaned.
#110: Very....blank. A lot is said but not much is done.
#249: I think that this post had the potential to really sway me over had it come earlier. However, he wasnt available to make it before it seemed like parroting. Not much I can really blame him for that though.

SSBF:
#14: Seems to come off really harsh right off the bat. I dont really like it when a player just seems nervous and edgy from the outset of the game. It is understandable when they get pissed later but near the beginning it is odd.
#86: Responding to pretty much irrelevant material at that point. It seems like he was using this post as an easy way to make it seem like he is saying a lot when he isnt really.
#196: Pretty much self preservation. More or less refuses to stump himself for any circumstance. He also shows that half of his scum hunting is based on how often someone has posted. I see where he is coming from but no.
#197: Going after someone who has been replaced. Ya, no,
#283: Surprised no one has caught my (SSBF) lack of contributing? Thats just a weird thing to say.
#307: Tunnel visions like a real pro. He basically just attacks the very unconventional way that Cello plays the game. The way he worded it though seems like he was just riding the anti Cello sentiments that were around. It makes it an easy stance to take.
#309: Glad you actually read....
#353: Lies about going after Pierre. Seems like a bad attempt at distancing in retrospect.
#371: Very subtle defending of Mentos now that people are looking at him. Also attempts to change subject away from Mentos.
#389: Here he defends Pierre.

The-Man:
#58: Plain and simple really strong town post. I like
#66: Extremelly agressive but I can understand why.

SwordDancer:
#22: Seems like he wants to jump on pretty little things here.
#291: Oh look I had forgotten you were in the game. Doesnt seem like Im going to remember with a post like that.
#297: Restating the obvious. Glad to see your opinion but it sucks that it only came after everything else was said and done.

SummonerAU:
#116: A pretty blank post but with a weird insistence that he wants to stump. Might be trying to seem town since town shouldnt be paranoid about stumpin.
#152: Lies about how much substance he has made. (In retrosepct I realize that this point is wrong.)
#207: I really like this post. It has a strong point and he put forth an adamant opinion that he has to stand behind.
#365: "Ima follow you because I dont feel like reading"

Nick:
#33: Absolutely horrid. He brings up wanting to get as many stumps in as possible but not wanting to start until the second days, discusses only stumping once or twice a day and overall just acts way too confused. Scum loves to confuse.
#Marshy: I give him a small bit of credit for the power play posts Marshy made.

The Paprika Killer:
#331:Smart guy knowing that either Pierre or Cello was scum.

SwordDancer:
#130: Post looks huge but no substance like most everything SwordDancer has done.
#154: Pretty much nothing.

I want SSBF dead for his not having good posts and for his defending of Pierre.

I want Pap and Sword to post more because I couldnt get many good opinions on them. I do like Swords recent post.

I want The Man to say why he attacked me for not taking a stance but lets Pierre slide when he does it.

there is a difference between making posts and making good posts.

What is your stance on pierre AND WHY because you list him as "most scum" but not mention him AT ALL in the rest of the post

@SSBF: Sure, I'll challenge your analysis of me.

Sworddancer.:

First off, his analysis. At #154, he promised to finish his analysis in the next post. Nine days later and it's still not here. That means he has a lot to catch up on.

Yeah, it is true that I never really finished my analysis, and to be quite honest I don't attend to anymore. When I was going to make the second part of my analysis, a lot more posts were added. To be honest, I don't have the heart or energy to finish my analysis. Yes I'm lazy.

Plus, everything else wasn't really anything new. My opinions stood. See post 291. That's me pretty much giving the rest of my thoughts at the time.

Do note, I've had read through the game. I understand what's going on. Right now I'm kinda thinking you're scum. I'm going to do another reread where I only look at you're posts to see if I can find anything else.

About Brockin. You said that only when Brockin got close to stumping that I started to parrot Cello. Okay, for one, what makes you think that Brockin was close to stumping when I started making a case against him? What makes you think I would know that he was about to stump? He seemed pretty reluctant to stump if you ask me. Secondly, yes, I was parroting Cello a bit. I'll admit to this. But I did so because I felt that I should give my stance on Brockin, which coincided with Cello's.

Cello was asking for opinions about Brockin, and I gave it to him.

About prods. So far I've been proded once. I wouldn't say that's much worse than your inactivity.

I need you to please explain to me how someone who is 'softly distancing' himself more scummy/suspicious then someone who is not taking much of a stance? I fail to see Mentos more town then what you give credit for.

I don't see SSBF much as scum. >>

Really don't like how swordsdancer is lurking/posting habbits. Really needs to be more active. I would put sworddancer right next to he-man. I would much rather sworddancer lynch over the-man.

I guess Omis being targeted by mafia pierre makes him town, but I'm not gonna fully buy that. I still feel that Omis can play townie better then that. I never remember him to parrot others constantly while town. However, if Nich comes off as scum, I'll be more incline to believe Omis is town (mainly cause his dislike to lynching mentos)

It feels manufactured. I mean, it's minor 1-line things, but I really don't like the way SSBF went back to them and is like "HA, look at this! And you say I never attacked Pierre". It just really feels like scum covering their 6 should their scumbuddy be lynched.

I fail to see Mentos more town then what you give credit for.

There are lots of people I'd rather lynch then the_man. Although he's been inactive lately, I just think Ryker has computer troubles. No idea what's up with Xonar though.

Ryker does not have computer troubles. He will be back tomorrow. Also, I don't see why tHe-Man has any excuse to not be active in the game. Xonar is still able to play Mafia, so we should have seen some contents from him today.

Alright, Pierre never made any strong connections, but he did make some weak ones.

This is the post in which he sums most of his stances up.

So,

Attacks weakly:
Cello (confirmed town)
The_man (likely town)
Today (now Mentos, neutral-leaning scum)

and in another post, he has a minor brush with Omis(likely scum)

As far as defenses, he never really does much beside defending himself. (and later, Roxy a little).

unvote

I don't understand what I did to attract this needless attention. Cello says I'm scummy but doesn't compound on it ever, and then tHe-Man agrees with him? And neither is doing anything about it but brow beating. How am I supposed to quell your qualms, let alone determine if you are scum or just ****ty town, without hearing what you have to say about me? Today's added vote is also terribad and I suspect she just found a reason to stealth onto a bandwagon. Also, Today is being replaced?

I'm very put off by tHe-Man's "I will talk about Pierre later" twice, as well as Cello's "Pierre is scummy," then "I'll let tHe-Man talk about Pierre." FOS to the two of you.

Cello says that he thinks I am scum and he thinks that HeatStroke is scum. He does not provide any reasons for thinking I'm scum, and his reason for thinking HeatStroke is scum is a contradiction that I found. If I were scum and if HeatStroke is scum, I would not have pointed out the contradiction, so this doesn't make sense. Cello is lining up lynches using other peoples reasoning so he doesn't take the fall when we are wrong. I am less convinced by what I found HeatStroke saying by the fact that Cello is pouncing on it so very very hard.

vote: Cello

@Cello: I don't think HeatStroke is scummy, I think that you are.

I would love to hear what *The Jester* and Sworddancer. have to input. I'm having a hard time gauging Paprika and Omis. Brockin seems to talk more about himself and his hydra than anything else. I feel like Cello is scum, I am put off by tHe-Man for his random "Pierre is scum" but has nothing else to say, Today doesn't seem very town by just chiming in to vote me for a bad reason.
Since it doesn't look like we'll get much from Pierre's posts, let's look at other's posts about Pierre. SSBF and Omis both had similar relationships with Pierre... minor clashes, but nothing major. Let's look at the case for each.

SSBF:
More active and contributing than Omis.
Doesn't always make a lot of sense when he posts.
Attacked Cello pretty hard throughout the day.
Did not attack Roxy or Brockin.
Clashes with Pierre were minor and feel manufactured, the way he later pointed "look, I attacked Pierre!"

Omis:
Just rode Cello's opinions most of the day.
However, when Cello didn't immediately stump, immediately jumped on the easy wagon.
His lynch list was Roxy, Cello, Brockin, Pierre, in that order. 4 town for one scum (counting the NK. That is, if Pierre hadn't been modkilled).
Clashed a bit harder with Pierre than SSBF did.

However, I don't think that both of them are scum. The reason is, SSBF has gone after Omis a good bit, and I don't think it's bussing.

He first goes after Omis in post #307, calling him hypocritical, lurking, parroting Cello, and jumping on him for not posting the reread analysis he'd promised.

Also, later...

@HeatStroke: He should be an lower priority. I say let's go after Omis.
Omis hadn't drawn a ton of heat yet, so I think this is a genuine attack, and the two are opposite alignments.

Pretty hardcore following of others here. You pretty much echoed the same sentiment The Man (person generally thought to be town) said. Except, OH WAIT, what he said didnt have merit.

I did not understand what you are trying to get at from the second or third sentence onward. Rephrase.

He has also done minimal scum hunting in the game. All he's done for the most part is asks questions.

Then what apparently is this "pro" scum hunting you expect from people.

Only two posts from him can even be considered decent at best, Just two. They were #93 and #429. Everything else has been mostly fluff.

I dont believe I posted too much fluff.

He has an very scummy read in my eyes. I was really disappiointed with Omis here. In the Social Thread, he challenged us to beat him. Sadly, it looks like he's not putting much effort to live up to his name.
This is a lie to make me look bad seeing as how I never posted that in the Social Thread.
Take it in the mouth skank.

Just because Pierre went after me doesnt make me town. He could have been bussing me or many other possibilities that result in both of us being scum. I am town though I just want the town to think harder before saying things like that.

First of all, since Pierre was scum, that leaves 11 people left, so we only need 6 virtual votes to force a lynch now.

Second, people need to stop throwing me off my scent trails. Mentos, join me against SSBF and tHe-Man and I'll give you credit for Today's play again. Pride is the only factor in this; I think that you are town (again), and if I can get you to endgame without having to stump you then I'll consider that a good enough play to overcome the shame of that mafia modkill, and win this game without it being considered a sham, like Nothing Special and TMNT were.

Wants SSBF to stump: Cello, Nicholas, SummonerAU (3 more)

For anyone that still supports tHe-Man as town:

Before we get at Pierre like Cello suggested, I rather discuss with Ryker first. I think we need to get some reads straight before I go around posting. Sleeping sucks guys, especially with timezone bullshizzle.
Why Pierre? Supposedly, they agreed with me that he was scum (and still have yet to provide why they thought as such). They were absolutely fine with Brockin and Heatstroke stumping though.

Also, Ryker was completely against turning this game into Popcorn, this is true. However, Xonar was actually in support of the idea (the only person, in fact), and only thought that the problem lay with the execution, not the concept. I repeat, tHe-Man wanted to change this to a Popcorn game.

@Omis: Can I count on your support against SSBF?

@Paprika: Do you still think that SSBF is just bad town?

@Heatstroke: Where you at? I need you...

Although, seriously, just 2 more.

Mentos, Heatstroke, Paprika (who I hope will make up his mind before we decide on the stump this time), Sworddancer?

tHe-Man statement is valid. You asked HeatStroke of what he thinked of Lynch All Lairs. That kind of question qualifies as something that would be in an Random Question Stage or something you would put in the Social Thread, not something you add during a middle of an serious discussion. Beginning of game or you shouldn't ask that type of question in this game.

Until Cello Marl fliped town, he for the most part spent most of the game echoing what Cello Marl said. During the time Cello Marl's role was unknown, you spent the majority of the time echoing what he said. Cello Marl made an promise to HeatStroke that he would stump once HeatStroke did. When HeatStroke stumped himself, Cello Marl lied and decided not to stump. Later on, you got after him and said that you didn't trust him nearly as much due to him not immediately stumping. If Cello Marl was scum, I would have left this alone, but why should I spare this comment since Cello Marl fliped town? This also a parroting of what Mentosman8 said when Cello Marl didn't immediately stump.

There, happy?

There are far more professional players like you. People who do "pro" scum hunting examine motives, the way they post, the contents the post has, and if it reveals any scummy evidence. They look for townie posts, scummy posts, and maybe null posts. They create solid cases against who they think commited the most scum tells in the game and stand good chances of getting there desired player lynched (And stumped in this type of Mafia games). They also do it in there own way that makes it somewhat hard for inexperience players to suspect them. As you are one of these people, I was expecting a lot better out of you.

You have posted a lot of fluff. I admit I do as well, but at least I know that I make mistakes. Most of your posts has minimal contents in the game. Just look your post over. People will agree that your post are mostly fluffs and don't really contribute much to the game.

I should have repharse that. What I meant to say was that you wanted to see if we improved. You wanted to see if we've gotten good yet. Apprently, some people have. I was really hoping to see you be an decent player. However, you really have underwhelmed my expectation.
Take it in the mouth skank.
Your argument, to put it nicely, sucks. At least Sworddancer manage to put up decent effort to challenge me and I'm still thinking of how to response to him. After reading this post once, I managed to create an argument against you. Try again. But I'll give you an reward:

Vote: Omis

Oh and I forgot something. You're parroting Cello Marl again. Cello Marl has been pushing for my lynch ever since Brockin stumped himself. Now with your analysis, you finally say you want me gone as well. I noticed that you are echoing this from Cello Marl.
