So as Time goes by the top Pros in each region change and some remain the same. Thanks to genesis now we have a good Ideas of the top pros both in the US and Europe thanks to tourney placing and from what Armada had told us about their melee players, but what about The rest of the world? Japan, South America? My question is Do we know who the top pros worldwide are?

Yes. Go look at tournament results from their regions.

Isn't that what we do for regional/national places?

Genesis results mean nothing. It was a noob tournament. half the top pros didn't show up, and there were TONS of noobs in the bracket.

And Genesis is the reason why people need to step it up.

I mean come the f*ck on people, two Jigglypuffs and a Peach for top 3 at the biggest tournament of the year? I couldn't even finish watching grand finals they were so boring.

you guys, scar got 6th. scar and darc made it to grand finals. raistlin got 9th.

I totally agree with you that if more big names showed up, I probably wouldn't have done as well. I got a little lucky with my bracket, but I still had to beat good people. I got third in my pool, so first round I had to play someone who got 1st in theirs, and I won. I beat Axe, who beat Jman, so you know he's good.

You posted that in the Genesis thread. You didn't always have such a low opinion of the pro turnout at Genesis. When did you suddenly decide it was a newb tourney?

If Mango ***** with Jiggs and Armada wrecks with Peach, then I don't see the point of complaining towards why the GFs were boring and this being the justification of why people need to "step it up".

Also, the melee community isn't as big as it used to be and Brawl continues to draw in the majority of new smash players. I rarely ever see new players at tourneys anymore and IMO the new, lone players seemed discouraged at the fact that melee is just too difficult at first glance and at tourneys so it's not like we see an abundance of potential players with the determination to get better and try to 1-up the current top players.

Concerning the OP, obviously it's not possible at the moment to see who's globally the best players as not all the pros have fought each other yet, but the top regional players give a general idea of who's the best.

Some names in your list are not like the others lol
Also don't use teams as evidence that it was a noob tournament because anything can happen in teams especially if the players were playing as amazingly as Scar and Darc were and also Darc is very good.

So, is every Florida a scrub tournament then by your standards?

Also you should focus on becoming the best Falcon in Florida and placing in tournament before you brag about how legit your falcon is and how much of a noob tournament Genesis was. lol

I thought my falcon was legit until i stepped back and looked at the tournament a bit closer.

I was playing horrible my first match, I didn't get enough sleep, and (insert john here)

Raistlin is good, im not knocking his skill.

I don't place well because I can't handle pressure.

HOW DID I FORGET TO ADD CHU I THOUGHT HE WAS THE FIRST NAME ON MY LIST GRRRRR!!

Scar sucks.
