Says so right in the description Infzy boi.

Good stuff Jerry. Got those uploaded faster than I could've done it myself. Must be nice to tap into the University's Wi-Fi with 10-20 minute uploads of 350 MB+ files.

Who reads the descriptions sometimes? It is so nice having like a 2Mbps upload speed at UNLV. I sort of wish the download speed was a bit faster.

It's all about mix-ups. As crazy as it sounds, sometimes it's better to attack or Spring Jump instead of airdodging after you get hit.

I have LOADS more matches from WHOBO 3 that I will upload in the coming weeks along with HOBO 31 videos including:
Money match with Red Halberd
Friendlies with Rich Brown
Friendlies with Ripple's impressive pikachu
not much else i can remember being saved, most of my favorite games were random places around the room where I couldn't save anything, like my friendlies with Trent and Cloud.

But these are most of my pools matches. I'm only missing my set with Razmakazi (wasn't recorded, wasn't very eventful anyway, I got wrecked and played badly) and my set with MVD (Nike may eventually upload this?)

Tesh (Sonic) v Nike (Marth) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15PIakid3Jc I got punished alot for using spindash, but I did better when I used it much less.

Tesh (Sonic) v Tyson (Diddy Kong) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWN-jGBkje0 Kinzer if you read this, you can see in the first match, when I land upthrow at 0%, he drops the banana and I trip before I can do anything. I remember some discussion about that a few weeks ago, is that random or can he do that on purpose to block follow ups?

Tesh (Sonic) v Tyson (Ness) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sj-jh79AMlI I fished for grabs too much last stock. Also a little lesson learned here for me. If the CG is banned, upthrow is better at low percents where 1 pummel + dtilt isn't much damage.

Tesh (Sonic) v DMG (Wario) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Hx8N4Wh6i4

Tesh (Sonic) v Kirby (Marth) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_Dge-5xalg

Tesh (Sonic) v Shiken (DDD) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WrXyuN6zxDo

Tesh (Sonic) v JoWii (MK/Fox) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CZSB5Au4eA first 40 seconds is sooooooooooooo hype

All critique is welcome, if you are wondering why I was rolling around so much, it was some kind of wiimote interference apparently. No johns though, I only got punished for it twice (I sded once from it) and Razer still placed 2nd using a wiimote so I don't think it really mattered much.

oh... well....I guess.....

Oh well, I'll have better content soon enough.

PS2 is looking like my next best stage in a Bo5 set, assuming Delfino would be suicidal (DDD,MK, Pit etc.). I've only counterpicked I think 4 people there (you, espy, esca, redhalberd), but I'm just starting to get the hang of all cool tricks and traps. The stage is too fun.

I left my commentary on youtube tesh. My main concern is that alot of stuff you do serves relatively no purpose. You always go for hard reads, you never really punish the simple stuff. Iono how many times I saw you opt out of a free grab or tilt for a charging fsmash in hopes of the opponent just buffering something afterwards that you can punish (why you thought that i had no idea). Sometimes ud just throw out fairs right out of our range and right in marths; thats just asking to be owned. You would always DI away then come right back to him as well. There were times Nike was just chillin, watching you run back and do all this bs, then ud run up to him and totally fail at spacing ( i really didnt know what you were doing) then he'd just backhand u with his blade; rinse and repeat.

Pay more attention to your opponents tendencies and how they are getting their initial hits in. I saw u rolling away from a sh double fair, like its a legitimate strategy. Of course its hard playing with the training partner of one of our top Sonics, but you gotta stay focused and play with a purpose. I felt like you were throwing out things you saw in one of espys/ x's vids. You didnt know why you were doing it, the scenario didnt call for it, but u did it anyways. You cant just throw out ish and hope it works. Marth has NO trouble punishing that bs. Especially one of Nike's caliber.

EDIT: I just watched some more of your videos Tesh. You gotta recognize whats working on your opponent. Whether your opponent is camping you or not. You seem completely oblivious to this is virtually all your matches. You just play and throw things completely dependent on your own mood.

@ and about the banana drop on the uthrow tesh, I believe its based on the amount of damage taken. Not to sure though. I know the Diddy can drop it but it seems as if it just fell before he couldve done it himself.

Yea i do sorta just throw things out.

The rolling issue iono, I never roll like that. I noticed I was missing alot of punishes when I would dash and then Sonic would roll. It sort of helped me a few times too. It may have been interference with my wii remote(it only happened in that room). Random stuff kept coming out while I was playing. Either that or its actually broken. Its over 2 years old after all. I haven't platyed since WHOBO so I don't know if its broken.

Let me be the first to say this.

Then, let me also be the first person to say that I learned a lot watching this.

First, approaching with SD is not the best idea, or at least should not be the BnB of this MU.

Second, I should probably DI every throw away from Marth, to avoid any follow-ups.

Third, Shield-grabbing should be discouraged heavily, except for Dancing Blades' Third hit, which I need to look for that frame data myself sometime.

Fourth, approach with extreme caution/constant mix-ups, if not at all.

Everything else isn't necessarily MU specific, except for maybe the last note. I should probably start mixing up between Spindash Jump and Spindash roll after I hit somebody's shield with a SDR. I have this bad habit of just constantly SDJing and it's too easy to just jump Bair OoS for a lot of characters.

...?

I put the hyphen this time? Mind telling me what else is off unless I just fixed a slight capitalization formatting?

Woot late reply.

Megaman Zero.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yx76XBXCDq4 - Tesh (Sonic) vs RedHalberd(MK)

I could use some critique on my friendlies with Rich Brown, as I have never gotten any matches against an Olimar so I could use some help with the matchup(big time).
... Olimar?

Anyway, I'll take a look and edit this. I need a break from MMZ anyway, my fingers are getting tired and I'm getting frustrated with trying to S Rank every damn mission.

Alright first off, don't dair on top of MK, especially not when he's in a neutral position ready to punish you.

(Less Spindash,) moar Fair IMO. All around really. Need both.

Okay I lied. Use more Fair in every case except in your edgeguarding. Just pelt MK with Spring Coils. Go ahead and just Fair occasionally but for the most part go for the safer edgeguard/condition them for random aerial mix-ups every now and then.

You have a really difficult time trying to get back on stage from the ledge I assume? Go ahead and try ledgedrop DJ'd Fairs or even ledgedrop Reverse SpinDash Bair. If you're feelin' real ballsy go ahead and ledgedrop DJ ASC. The lattermost is probably the most unsafe way to get back onstage and messing up will make you SD, but if it hits it has a very nice reward as I'm sure you're aware of.

Finally, here's some food for thought. This applies to a lot of characters, but since specifically you were getting grabbed a lot in this circumstance:

What're MK's options from a run? It's sort of silly that MK is running towards you in the first place, but since nobody plays perfectly, what are they going to do? Certainly not dash attack all that often. Try and figure out some creative ways to punish that stuff.

Oh yea I haven't uploaded any yet. I'll probably upload the friendlies with RB after......HOBO 31? So I would have maybe 100 matches to deal with.

Oh you were asking for some general Olimar tips, not specifically critique on the MK MU.

My bad. :X

I think most of what I said anyway still applies. Olimar just has different ways to punish bad habits and camps a lot more, but once you get in you have many opportunities to overpower Olimar like the Tsunam-

... Wait, too soon?

Don't hurt me please!

I got this!

Sonic is Japanese too so its cool (despite his red, white and blue theme).

Yea, when I get the matches uploaded, I probably won't bother formatting them for this thread for a while.

Watched the SK92 vids. My thoughts:
  • Don't spindash when it's not safe to do so
  • Don't always be running towards the opponent, and attacking directly at him. Think about zoning; pressuring his options, attack the space where you expect him to go.
  • Run more. Use your dash-turnaround; weave in+out with running, rather than just running towards him (on the occasions that you weren't just spindashing).
  • Use waayy more Bair, IMO. SHFFBair, spaced so you can't get grabbed.
