First Match:

At the start you were letting him throw pikmin at you from a distance, wracking up free damage. And you were kinda just letting him do it. Don't let him do that. Try to bait other type of attacks like the grab so you can punish the slight lag it has. Get in his zone.

Try to keep track of your jumps better, SDing right when you spawn in = bad. Keep a cool head and don't get frustrated, that's what this match started turning into, frustration.

You tend to just let White Pikmin wail on you, those things HURT, get them off ASAP. One of them did 16%.

Besides that, you did really well on your last stock. First stock he killed you, caused you to get frustrated which lost your focus on your # of jumps (I'm guessing) and you SDed the second stock. You could of had this. Next time.


Second Match:

Nothing much to critique here. You did the iSDR, he had no idea what to do against it, so you started to abuse it. Game.


Keep it up Speed, you'll get him next time. Keep your cool against Olimar, more SH Aerials, and don't let the pikmin wail on you.

Like Trent said, don't let those pikmin wail on you. It does good damage, and it refreshes oli's other moves, so get them off. If he's close, don't just do an aerial and land, since he can grab you out of it.

You had a nice comeback though. I think you could've used a little more ASC in general.

Good job on the second match, although when you get brabs on oli, I'd prefer to throw him up since you can land camp him pretty easily. Good job.

Nair may not work sometimes due to the hitbox being smaller than/inside Sonic's hurtbox. Bionic said something about that a while ago and knowing that, it makes sense as to why it may not always brush Pikmin off.

Any other aerial will do the same thing since none of them completely cover Sonic in a hitbox.

Although that still doesn't excuse the poor hitbox of Nair to begin with, @#$%ing Sakurai!

Nair doesn't. If you look at the hitbubble video, none of the hitboxes escape his spin.

I still recommend Fair.

Notes:
I had to play against HebrewHammer twice, one time in winner's semi-finals and again in Loser's finals. The 2nd match of the 2nd set with HebrewHammer, we had to use my digital camera instead of my digital video camera due to the battery life of it. The quality of that video is really bad and I try to edit it the best I was able to do, so please bare with it.

IMO if there's a general problem I've seen from these matches, it looks like you're try to kill far too early (damage wise). It kinda screwed you over with Lucario.
...yeah, you can argue he hits harder, but when you start to run out of kill options, that's no good =/
I mean, you did technically get the kill setups/kill combos in (multiple times) but he'd survive cause they were stale

yea, I could see that. normally it wouldnt make a difference since I could just go offstage and finish the job, but he was really good at fairing me away when ever I tried to gimp him. but I should have been more agressive with him offstage anyway.

But when people get up to kill percent they get really conservative, so sometimes they wont fall for the same tricks at 150 that they would at 120. so i try stuff a little early because 1. they might have bad DI and die anyway. and 2. im usually better than that at gimping anyway.

To be more accurate, I threw smashes out there because the entire state of GA spotdodges like its their crack, and I thought i could bait it out of them at those times.

Also, its called hypnosmash son, learn about it.

did you watch all of them? there was also times where I did exactly what you just said. i was mostly going for jump behind bairs, and I probably should use more spinshot asc, but i was def. mixing it up, thats why there was only one match he won that didnt end with him at kill% at his last stock.

@stale moves: I don't remember which specific match it was, but there was one where I think you got a bunch of (spindash >) B-air stuff on stage and either you were trying to send Rayku across the stage (too much distance for it to KO) or it was already stale =/. He DI'd up all the time too ><;

@gimping/lucario: yeah, I also saw what was about to be an epic off-stage d-air KO get beat by his f-air in one of the lylat matches.

I don't remember, but did/do you use much of DDP?
