This ought to be interesting if it's not what DJbrowny suggested could Sonic have his own version of bucket braking?

It already is a bucket-braking method, but better since it pushes Sonic forward towards the stage whereas the Bucket holds him in place until he retracts it... also we can do it on command, whereas G&W can have a full bucket in those matchups that count.

Although what apparently happend is a complete knockback negate.

But does it work on more than just Charizard's one attack? That's what needs to be found out. Can't wait to see the vid!

Yo Infzy, I'm sending you that vid now since our Wiis' synced. I want to make sure I send it to you incase some A-hole at SK's tourneys decides to screw my Wii up for whatever reason and the replay won't get lost.

I also sent you one screenshot I thought was cool... if you see Sonic at Port Town Aero Dive with Shadow right above him, it's me. :p

Please write back... I was also hoping you could flesh out the screenshot and make it a reality. Like if you could bucket the image or something so I could make it as an Avi. I think it looks really cool... I just messed up a little bit by putting Sonic's spaghetti arm in front of his face. :(

Also expect some Youtube MM of me sometime this week if the guy actually wants to record our set.

I've updated everything so far, except for Chis' new video just now (which will be up in 2 minutes after this post at the most).

Oh, and I added a Sonic/Sonic vs. Sonic/Sonic Teams Match that I thought MUST be on the WSC.

Added DaisyFan, SS, and my videos, and as I've said, Chis' video in a few minutes, as well as the Sonic quad teams match.

Edit: Chis, that video is already in the WSC.

Well, it's just that you'd posted them just as the text of the link, so smashboards replaced it with an actual hyperlink, but shortened the visible uri to have a ... in the middle. You copied that name, ... and all, and pasted it in the other thread... so obv the link didn't work there. :)

Three (Slightly Embarrassing) Questions:

What button input was used for the grab at 1:10 in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XT25Z5dSl-Q)? Is this some permutation of dashdancing?

Also, how does one do a dash away from his opponent, then instantly back? I've tried doing it from a foxtrot, but suspect that it has to do with "grinding." A good example of this can be found in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWnKEYy9GZU) at 1:15.

Lastly, I wanted to ask how Espy (or others) generally performs the button input for his Bair game, especially OoS. I assume there is some specific fastfall timing I should learn.

I feel like my Sonic game is "getting there," and these are some areas which I'd like to tighten up/add. Any help is appreciated, and if the answers are easier to provide by linking to an existing thread, please don't hesitate to do so.

1) not embarrassing questions. it is a quick dashdance. But, this one is kinda different. Sonic ran, then stopped, then ran again. it has a kind of canceling effect, and you can immediately run in the opposite direction.

2) That has nothing to do with grinding. grinding is when you dash, then stop. when Sonic is in his sliding, you tilt the control stick forward, and then you will slide across the ground, and Sonic will look like he is sliding. That is grinding. Like I said earlier, it is a quick dashdance, but he ran towards the opponent instead of continuing the dashdance.

3) Baring OoS input? i use the Classic controller, so i use X to shorthop, then Fastfall a Bair. pretty common actually. But usually, if you want to fastfall, jump, put in the input for the bair, and while Sonic is turning around, then quickly press down on the control stick. It takes some practice...

Oh, and lastly, keep at it with Sonic. you can only go up from here on out.

you actually played quite well for the mostpart; like most 1v1 interactions you were winning, you'd get hit from when there was just a lot going on, like your partner getting hit into you, or getting cornered by both opponents. You actually almost made it on your own at the end lol, gg nt.
