i wish i knew how to improve earlier on haha

i remember playing charles the 1st time crystal clear compared to now

my mind wasnt nearly as open as it is now

i would just say explore the game more/ creative on stages and attacks

just force that way of thinking when you do you easily change anything to abit / adjust ingame

ULTIMATELY, THOUGHT IS CREATING OUR REALITY. NOTHING ELSE BUT THOUGHT.YOU BECOME AND EXPERIENCE WHAT YOU THINK.- Beth Coleman

just give a reason for you mind to think more or force it too

experience is just assembled thoughts

hope this helps or w/e lol

Fuzz... Sab0o (Lewis) sends his regards - he isn't sure if you'll remember him, but he definitely remembers you doing some awesome DI demostrations at some tournament or another! xD Also, you live in Essex? I visit my family multiple times a year in and around Basildon...

Watching ItsBME's vid ISAI is the only motivation I need to pick up my controller again.
This happens alot.

Step 1: Look up a pro that uses the char you use.

Step 2: Watch videos of that player and don't think like OMG ZERK I NEED BE SILENT WULF TECHAWESOME (no offense to technical players, but for non-pro's this puts you in auto pilot mode).

Step 3: Learn to analyze the video's and try to spot the important moments of decision (this can be hard for non-pro's. Like me, but I'm not completely oblivious to them :3)

Step 4: YOU CAN BE MORE AWESOME THAN THE PLAYER YOU JUST OBSERVED AND **** ON MANGO

Step 5: Practice alot. Try to go to every Melee event, no money is a john. Go work for it lazy bum.

Tips to practice efficient: Get enough sleep play minimal of 30 mins before you go to sleep.

Mostly agree with VA, but I gotta contest that the quality of the player you play against does matter a lot. The more you play a good player, the faster your game improves...provided, of course, that you're committed to getting better.

ASIA VS. HAGGIS, THE WAR IS STARTING. WHICH SIDE WILL YOU CHOOSE??????????
I prefer haggis personally

defiently agreeing wit fuzz creating this thread its half the reason i wnt 2 stay up north as long as possible just 2 play tonnes of different ppl

currently im still workin hard at uni so it a bit hard 2 travel around but once the 15th may rolls around im free frm uni 4 the summer so ill b travelin round the midlands quite a bit so if any1 wnts sum games let me knw or if any1 wnts 2 come jam in stafford n play

im slowly gettin a community starting in stafford even if it just a few of my flat m8s n ppl that live in my buildin but if we all do change r attitudes, especially me n think i just need 2 play better 2 do better instead of always expecting the top 3 2 b fuzz, prof n VA then this thing cld happen

n btw over the summer if any1 wnts 2 come 2 a tesco smashfest just let me or any member of tesco knw n we will c wat we can do =]

Yea i'm at uni in Nottingham dude. Only one other smasher i know here, PMS, and he's got some funky Samus skills.

I think a small part of 'manning up' is knowing what you really want out of smash. Being the best of the best would be awesome, but right now i'm happy just trying to beat my mates. bishkin's getting better and better and i figure the better he gets, the more i'm forced to get better myself. LOOOOVE beating all his mains HA

Sorry George; you're not a true man until you play Pokemon with a pink DS while in public.

Yea i've played them all at an EM tourney. Zunari was a tough match... I like playing his falco tho. I've got his number but he's a little bit out the way in Mansfield, just haven't had the time to go down there at all. And i love resting Adam

Kind of ironic that this thread is called: 'The UK Melee Communtiy needs to MAN UP ' while alot of people here talk about playing pokemon. (Yeayea its fun, but still ironic)

meh, i just like it cos breeding properly for good pokemon was never for me, i was more interested in the battling aspect and shoddy's the shortcut really :/

There's gotta be someone who plays on shoddy occasionally up for a battle?
