Polt, it's because Pikachu and Sonic are good on the same exact stages. There's no stage Sonic can go to (including Picto and YIB) that doesn't also help Pikachu in some way, shape, or form.

To be honest, I also considered Brinstar, but it's just as bad for Sonic as it is for Pikachu.
And yeah, I choked the hell out of that 5th match.

It happens.

Jesus that Snake was good at stage teching. Some of the BS he pulled off-stage (like the wall-tech jump -> nade to pop back up on the stage) could have been choreographed. But 4 stocks? Wat?

Oh that guy. If you think that is good, you should see his combo vid. I think he is actually a Sonic main though.

If the falco knows Muhsoce that good at stage teching...why repeatedly try to stage spike him? I don't think he went for a Cypher grab once =/

But holy **** thats the most C4 sticks I've ever seen in one match!

He is a VERY flashy player. All of his vids are full of huge risks offstage, lots of teching, spectacular kills.

Serious players really should tech more though. Most of the top players still die to obvious stagespikes when teching would save them.

That Snake was aggravating to watch on how much he left himself open to get punished (Which happened quite a bit too) I like aggressive play, but there is a limit to how aggressive you can be... If he's that aggressive he either knows the player really well to make plays like that (conditional situations you have set up from previous experience) or just its their mentally which is completely different from ours which doesn't really have them trying to camp (which I believe is the case in Mexico).

While I'm curious how it would work out for him vs campier players, it still is a good show to watch.

Serious players aren't in the position to tech that often.

Granted, this is evidence that there is merit to practicing that crazy, but if your opponent is skilled, you WILL get three stocked for being so unsafe.

Nevertheless, gloriously entertaining.

Teching in Brawl is so hard :/
You honestly think so? I think it's character dependent.. If you are Snake, Falco, Fox or another character with a linear, telegraphed vertical recovery.. it's much easier to see coming and to time the tech.. same if you were to get up-b'd by ganon or falcon below the stage (which will rarely, if ever happen) facing the ledge.. it's basically a stock if you don't tech it. Whereas if you get shuttlelooped or something your time to react to it is cut drastically.

Yeah but the time window is rather small, in Melee it was 20 frames, we have 5 and can't press shield in non electrical hitlag to tech.

you could hold the shield button to tech in melee.

stupidly easy.

I wouldnt say teching in brawl is 'hard' tho. harder, yes but not hard.

Best Dedede vid was a joke. Honestly guys, while it is funny, there are a bunch of actual decent D3 vids of Coney out there.

You realize there can be more than one video for a character, right?
Go find a good video and nominate it.
