Don't test my knowledge of all things Sonic that isn't Brawl. If you learned it, I've known it for five times as long as the time you DIDN'T know it.
But yeah, 360 version's final levels are friggin' awesome, but that doesn't take away from the Wii versions epicness.
Besides the layout of the Final Boss in the Wii version. It was horrendous.
Mmm...moving on before either of them get here...
Can anyone think of any use for Sonic's Nair? I throw it out now and then for surprise but...it just doesn't seem that useful...
I use it here or there.
My favorite thing to do with it though, is stand right near the edge while the opponent hangs there, and short hop nair as they get up.
When someone's on the edge, it's either:
1. Get Up
2. Get up attack
3. Jump around the edge
4. Drop below/behind the edge
5. Jump and attack
6. Roll
What's so awesome, is that nair covers at the very least, 3 of these options if spaced correctly. (1-3)
Better though, is if the opponents attack comes out late, or is of less priority or range (lol) of nair. That would get rid of option 5 as well.
Finally, if you're REALLY good at reading them, you can pull away during your nair to hit them as they roll back onto the level.
So assuming you're doing it right, you get rid of at max, 5/6 options from the ledge.
The kicker is that a weakened nair is usually enough to knock them back to the edge. Rinse and repeat.
I've actually nibbled away at some Kirby player down here by just being able to call out his actions, and knocking him back to the edge with nairs.
It's also a great set up for further reading into your opponent. They tend to do some sort of aggressive attack after the 2nd nair to ledge.
Walk away -> fSmash.
lolz
Too pro.
