I think we did over-do it, but that doesn't mean it isn't there.

I guess now D-Throw is still useable, we just have to be on our toes when we start doing it now.

Sonic is still going to get better in tourneys.

His Sonic doesn't beat my mains. We often do Sonic vs DK, which I think is either split 50-50 or I may win a bit more often then he does.

Although, admittedly, I haven't played Anther's Sonic in a little while.

I mean, I don't even play Sonic seriously. He's my for-fun-only character. Thus, I'm not very good with him and I don't know what all your fancy acronyms mean because I avoid the Sonic board as much as possible. And if you watch the video, you'll see I learned ways around it as the match progressed.

Samurai, you don't need to purposely avoid these boards anymore. Any hostility that used to be around here has pretty much disappeared

Weaknesses that Sonic has have been accepted, a new leaf has been turned over and spam/flaming has been reduced to the point where it's practically no existant. The last spam thread to be bumped was around 5 days ago and the last spam thread to be made was around a week and a half ago - and it wasn't even made by a regular of this boards. Hell fire, even Boxob made his pokemon game in this chat room rather than dedicate it to another thread. Whatever it is, something has worked and the Sonic boards are a better place

This is coming from a Peach main, not a Sonic main. I might frequent this place a lot and I'd say I'm pretty established but whilst I use Sonic as my secondary and I help in anyway I can, my primary concern has always been about Peach and I will (most of the time) always associate myself with Peach when it comes down to it (Don't hate me guys D: )

So yea, if you don't want to visit this place because of what's happened in the past, then please scrap that because you aren't going to get flamed - you weren't attacked when you posted just now. If you don't want to visit this place because you don't want to then...well, it's your choice


So on another note, ROFL at Sonic being in B Rank on Ankoku's thread. ROFL at him being above Olimar, Peach (lolwat), Pikachu, G&W...the list goes on

Puffball - did you speed run Eggmanland using a GC controller or Wiimote + Nunchuk?

1 - What is the difference between side-B and down-B !??

In a sense, side-B and down-B ARE the same move. They share the same stale move counter, and the roll/jump are the same for both attacks. Even though this is true, there are some aspects about them that really set their usage apart.

2 - What is ASC?
ASC is the Aerial Spin Charge. Sakurai named the down-B the Spin Charge, so... an Aerial Spin Charge is... a down-B performed in the air! Tada. That's all it is. If you read the first question, you can shield cancel it by holding shield as you land, and if you hold forward, you can deal more damage with it (max 11 damage first hit), and even multiple hits (usually 7-10 damage), as long as your opponent is still in front of you. It's a pretty useful move that you can use to fake people out, and it's also Sonic's best damager, hands down.

4 - What do all those acronyms and letters mean!?

SD = Spin Dash (Hop) (Side-B)
SC = Spin Charge (Down-B)
ASC = Aerial Spin Charge (air Down-B)
SDR = Spin Dash Roll (the grounded rolling attack)
SDJ = Spin Dash Jump (jump attack that can be done out of a SDR)
FSJ = Footstool jump; gfsj is a grounded footstool (done on a grounded opponent)
IASA = Interruptible-as-soon-as (it's lame, and I didn't come up with it - basically frames where you can attack before the animation is over)
SDSC = Spin Dash shield cancel (hitting shield to cancel a side-B's charge)
DJ = Double jump
FT = Foxtrot
DD = Dashdance
DDP = Dashdance pivot
ONN = omnomnom frames (existence pending...)

i was wondering about that too. maybe he quit, and hylian hasnt played him as much so thats why he forgot the matchup and lost to you ... lol

Just finished Sonic Unleashed....I still don't like Chip. And where was Knuckles/Angel Island/the Master Emerald?

They could have made Chip...less annoying. I wouldn't mind it if he wasn't so cheesy or said stuff that was actually funny

Oh btw - does Sonic's Bair help move him forward in the air? When I'm recovering, I use Fair to help carry me forward but does Sonic's Bair do the same if I'm facing the wrong way?
