I always really like mega designs that are really close to their base forms, and Sableye is such a nasty little guy that I can't help but love it. And even despite being so similar to the base form this mega is still pretty creative imo. Top tier mega to me.

Even from a competitive perspective I think it's pretty cool that there are situations where you don't want to mega evolve in so you can make use of Prankster. It adds just a little bit more strategic depth to using it.

The Super Show is delightfully surreal. The Mario 3 show sticks closer to the source material and is mostly a subpar kids show. The World show is one the cheapest cartoons I've ever watched, holy ****.

I think the World show making the supporting characters cavemen and not Yoshis was a big misfire. Plus most of the plots just felt like reheated leftovers of the SMB3 cartoon. At least SMB3 had some fun with the concept of the characters traveling to Earth.

It's a shame we didn't ever get a modern Mario animated show. I feel like it's the perfect fit for episodic adventures a la Adventure Time.

You know, it always bothered me how Pikachu's ears don't really look like mouse ears.

Man, I thought I was the only one. Pikachu's ears resemble a rabbit way more than a mouse, at least in my eyes. Raichu nails the mouse look a bit more.

Still though, better than Cyndaquil being labelled the 'fire mouse' when it looks absolutely nothing like a mouse. No tail, no ears, absurdly long snoot...that thing ain't no mouse, stop lying GameFreak

Wait is the turtoise counted as a shellfish? Besides, Blastoise is weak ****. A giant turtle that has cannons vs the CHAD Gundramon, a ****ton of guns that vaguely resemble a dragon

Also idk if this was mentioned but there's an eshop maintenance tomorrow so there's talk we'll get a direct then

That's what it's called in the pokedex - the shellfish pokemon.

I imagine it was a localization error but that doesn't explain why they still haven't fixed oe retconned it yet.

Despite the Pokedex calling it a mouse, Atsuko Nishida claims she based it on squirrels. So its ears would be based on how some squirrels have tufts on their ears that make them look triangular

Finished Aria of Sorrow with the good ending and around 93% map completion and 60% souls collected.

Great, great game. I dunno if I'll go back to collect everything since I'm really trying to work through my backlog but I heavily enjoyed my time with it.

Yeah the souls are pretty grindy iirc in Aria but future games do this better, hope you enjoy the best version of DoS when you get around to it, thank **** the Dominus Collection reworked magical seals lmao

I've been experimenting with ideas for another Pokedex. It's not canon to the Purore region or the up-and-coming Southeast USA region...instead, it's based largely upon the world of the Total Drama series and the genre of cartoons it helped to inspire!

Here are your starters, based upon some of the Total Drama series' most iconic competitors. Do you recognize them?

Sweetpeek, the Optimist Pokemon
Pyrupp, the Controlling Pokemon
Fleegull, the Paranoid Pokemon

These are earlier designs I made so they could use some refinements tho.

I also created designs for the two Box Legendary Pokemon, based on everyone's favorite animated reality TV hosts. That's right...Trevor and Derek from Disventure Camp! :4wario2:

These are pretty early designs, which is why they kinda look like recolored Lugias. Legendary designs are haaaaaaaaaaaaaard

Pyrupp being another fire-fighting starter might be controversial. But, first and foremost...Pyrupp is based on Courtney, who is known for her physical fighting prowess. And second of all, if not that the fighting type would've gone to Fleegull's evolution. But, I really wanted it to be strong against Ghost types due to the character Fleegull is based on, and that left Dark type as my only real option.

While I could swap around their types, I'm just much happier with how they are now.

And yeah Sweetpeek evolving into a Grass/Fairy type is not up for debate :dkmelee:
