it’s a continuation to the episode, but will be a mature show and magically has the characters that weren’t seen or referenced (due to them not knowing whether they lived or not. Tho it does make me wonder if Scott’s head and Hulk survived, since only Spidey is rumored to be returning for the series.

Watched the first episode of Chainsaw Man

I actually did read it before in manga form but I think the anime enhances it. For example, when I read the first chapter I imagined the first time Denji transforms and slaughters the Yakuza zombies with epic music, but the fact that the scene lacks music in the anime drives home the brutality of it all.
