Then maybe I said it wrong. The example that always came to mind was Fountain of Dreams in Melee had less frame drops on Wii than GCN during the transformation parts.Wii seems to only run GC games faster when using an ISO loader that doesn't underclock the system to match the GC:

It’s quite literally the top 2 visually pleasing gens of all Pokemon generations. The other best? Gen 2.You guys remember how dumb Venusaur's back sprite looked in Gen 1?

Let’s Go also looks really damn good, I just don’t like the chibi style. Not taking the bait, but imo Gen 7's the best looking, it's not just good via 3DS standards but it is just good looking in general.
In terms of 2D graphics, I think they hit their stride with Platinum-Gen 5.
The textures are a decent size, there's just a lot of wasted space on Pokemon texture sheets. Look at the two images I attached, a properly optimized game would've only had the right side of these Pikachu textures, and for that matter wouldn't have devoted two separate textures to Pikachu's main body and its ears/tail. New Pokemon Snap is much better about this:The biggest graphical issue with the newest games is muddy textures, imo. I dunno what it is but they just can’t get their textures right.
Does this apply to environmental textures too? Like the grass and water and rocks and stuff? Cuz that’s what I was mostly referring to.The textures are a decent size, there's just a lot of wasted space on Pokemon texture sheets. I thought the Wii U at least did graphical upscaling?Though it’s possible, it would be highly un-Nintendo to do this. The best they’ve done is when GCN games ran on Wii and Wii games ran on WiiU, Neither had graphical updates but they both did run older gen games more smooth.
I don't know because The VG Resource doesn't have any from Scarlet and Violet uploaded.Does this apply to environmental textures too? Like the grass and water and rocks and stuff? Cuz that’s what I was mostly referring to.
Maybe that’s why Amy’s been hiding out in New York? Something is after all the Hedgehogs so they’ve scattered across the galaxy.
99.9% sure it doesn’t. Just increases FPS or whatever it’s called that reduces lagI thought the Wii U at least did graphical upscaling?
I just want gaming to finally embrace 6 face buttonsReally hoping Nintendo gets things together with the Switch 2's controllers.
Both my pro controllers are now experiencing drift.

My launch day joy cons started drifting I think a year in.You may have had some seriously bad luck. I have 2 launch day pro controllers with zero issues.
But the launch day joy cons had drift issues in month 1.
Just for the record I'm aware the Typergy powers are pretty freaking ridiculous lol. But remember the wise words of Syndrome: "With everyone super, no-one will be". When there's so much high-power stuff flying around, most of the really good powers should be on equal footing.Currently I'm wondering where my Pokemon ideas, like Love type, would go in terms of competitive viability. Like, I'd be curious to hear where they''d end up in VGC, how players like Wolfey would deal with them, where they'd land in Smogon, etc.
Starting with Love type. Here's the type chart I made, once again:
View attachment 397274
The type is built to counter the borked Steel type and create a healthy immunity triangle with the Psychic and Dark types (ideal starter triangle material), as well as giving some much-needed love to the Poison, Bug and especially Psychic types. Attract, Captivate and the kiss moves like Lovely Kiss and Draining Kiss would have their types changed to Love, and Love types are immune to the effects of infatuation and Captivate. The type would also be added to Pokemon like Kangaskhan, Audino, the Blissey line, Meganium and Enamorus (replacing the Normal type for the first three and Fairy for Enamorus). My hope with the Love type is that it doesn't end up completely broken, but instead helps balance out the type chart in general. It's about time Psychic got some of its glory back!
Then there's the idea I haven't discussed enough: Typergy forms. Essentially a series of Mega Evolution-style new forms for certain Pokemon that empower one of their types (removing the other type if there is one), giving them a special ability connected to that type. Here's a run-down:
Typergy Forms are special new forms of specific Pokemon that draw out the power of a specific type they have. They lose their other typing and become pure-typed if they are a dual-type Pokemon (for example when a Greninja uses a Dark Typergy Crystal, it becomes a pure Dark type and loses the Water type). However, this grants them access to powerful Typergy abilities, which give them different boosts based on each type they have. And here are all 19 of them!
Normal Typergy Ability: Core Power
The Pokemon’s Normal moves can deal super effective hits against Ghost types and damage Rock and Steel types normally. Chances of additional effects of moves become doubled.
Fire Typergy Ability: Blazing Sun
The harsh sunlight weather condition is activated, and will not be removed until another Typergy Ability overrides this condition. Normal type moves become Fire type.
Fighting Typergy Ability: Pure Determination
Normal type moves become Fighting type. The Pokemon’s Fighting moves can deal super effective hits against Ghost types. The Pokemon’s critical hit ratio also increases.
Water Typergy Ability: Aquatic Wrath
The rain weather condition is activated, and will not be removed until another Typergy Ability overrides this condition. Normal type moves become Water type.
Flying Typergy Ability: Unstoppable Flight
The Pokemon has increased priority on all of its moves. Normal type moves become Flying type.
Grass Typergy Ability: Floral Fury
The Pokemon becomes immune to all status conditions, volatile or otherwise. Normal type moves become Water type.
Poison Typergy Ability: Ultra Toxic
The Pokemon's poison-type moves will do double damage to a currently poisoned foe. Normal type moves become Poison type, and the Pokemon’s Poison moves can damage Steel types.
Electric Typergy Ability: Rolling Thunder
The Pokemon’s speed, attack and special attack increases at the end of each turn, and its Electric moves will be able to damage Ground types. Normal type moves become Electric type.
Ground Typergy Ability: Ultra-Magnitude
The Pokemon’s Ground moves will be able to damage Flying types, and all of their Ground moves earn a +20% chance to lower the opponent’s accuracy. Normal type moves become Ground type.
Psychic Typergy Ability: 1000000 IQ
The Pokemon’s stats will not be lowered by any means, while still being able to be increased. Normal type moves become Psychic type, and the Pokemon’s Psychic type moves will be able to damage Dark types.
Rock Typergy Ability: Geo-Surge
The sandstorm weather condition is activated, and will not be removed until another Typergy Ability overrides this condition. In addition, Stealth Rocks are automatically deployed around the opponent’s field. Normal type moves become Rock type.
Ice Typergy Ability: Never-Ending Blizzard
The snow weather condition is activated, and will not be removed until another Typergy Ability overrides this condition. The Pokemon is now immune to Grass-type moves. Normal type moves become Ice type.
Bug Typergy Ability: Summon the Hive
All enemy Pokemon that share the field will become trapped and cannot escape, and will take 1/16th of their HP’s worth of damage each turn. Normal type moves become Bug type.
Dragon Typergy Ability: Reptillian Fury
The Pokemon’s moves will no longer miss. Normal type moves become Dragon type, and the Pokemon’s Dragon type moves will be able to damage Fairy types.
Ghost Typergy Ability: Spiritual Takeover
The battlefield will begin to cycle through the different kinds of terrain every few turns. Normal type moves become Ghost type, and the Pokemon’s Ghost type moves will be able to deal super effective damage against Normal types.
Dark Typergy Ability: Total Eclipse
All enemy Pokemon that share the field will have their stats dramatically drop. Normal type moves become Dark type, and the Pokemon's Dark type moves will be able to damage Love types.
Steel Typergy Ability: Iron Insanity
The Pokemon’s Defense and Special Defence stats will increase at the end of each turn. Normal type moves become Steel type, and the Pokemon’s Steel type moves will be able to damage Love types.
Fairy Typergy Ability: Magical Aura
All stat drops are nullified immediately, and the Pokemon’s entire team is protected from critical hits until it faints. Normal type moves become Fairy type.
Love Typergy Ability: Absolute Love
The Pokemon gains immediate access to all Affection/Happiness benefits – it may endure hits that would knock it out, avoid attacks, shed status conditions on their own or land critical hits more easily. Whenever the Pokemon switches out, Baton Pass comes into effect and all its stat increases get passed to the Pokemon that switches in. That Pokemon also gains Affection benefits, as do all allied team members. Normal type moves become Love type, and the Pokemon's Love type moves will be able to damage Psychic types.
And some Pokemon that would get Typergy forms:

So, let's hear it. If the Love type and Typergy forms and abilities existed within Pokemon, what would happen in terms of competitive battling? What would the Love type do to the type rankings, where would it rank itself, and what would happen to the Pokemon with typergy forms on the competitive TL? Just feel free to leave your theories!
You're right. This looks nothing like DragoniteMost Gen 1 sprites are dumb

It’s common for most accessories, outside of wireless controllers, to not transfer over to the next gen. The smart phone industry does the same. It’s a pure money move. Very normal. There's a chance that the physical accessories for Switch 1's Nintendo Labo might not be compatible with the Switch 2. And I kind of doubt Nintendo will address this concern.
Because more buttons means you can do more things with the controller. Why? 4 is the perfect number to easily get used to moving your thumb around with, one for each cardinal direction, minimizing the risk of misinputs on the face buttons
More non sequels, remakes and reboots release than sequels, remakes and reboots. I’m 99% certain this has been the case every year since the 1920s. You only hear about about sequels, remakes and reboots because the media (both traditional and digital) tells you.2025.
Another year of yet again mostly sequels, remakes and reboots.
Oh Hollywood what has come to you...You barely lack originality anymore...
At least we moviegoers have Indie films to rely on.
It’s highly likely the Switch 2 will have usb-a. If so, you can use wired controllers. Afterall, Nintendo found a way to let us use GCN controllers for 4 generations straight.I hope Switch's wired controllers work with the Switch 2.
Bonus points if my Magic NS adapter works too.
Between Boom, IDW, and Frontiers, Amy’s been drastically improving her relationship styleFinished Sonic IDW volume 1 (first 4 issues)
Tangle feels like she's engineered specifically to appeal to my tastes. I haven't said this here but I love lemurs, I petted them at a zoo once or twice and they became one of my favorite animals. So now there's a Sonic character that's a lemur AND she's a tomboy on top of that? I still need to see more of her but yeah good first impression and I love her dynamic with Sonic
Also I might ship SonAmy again after years of actively avoiding Sonic shipping discourse, that issue with Amy was so much fun and Amy's crush on Sonic actually felt endearing instead of annoying
Also also I love how sassy Tails was in his issue, Tails is my favorite character and this issue added to the dynamic he has with Sonic
The Knuckles issue was also really fun
Yeah I like this. I already read this volume before but now I'm actually gonna commit to the rest as well
I was beyond caught off guard by these massive ass inagesView attachment 397279
