Well that settles that then, between an icy coffee table and a hot cup the coffee table wins.

Guess who’s hitting the big 3-0 today?
Happy birthday you beautiful bespectacled geezer
I crave debate.

What do you all think are the best and worst Pokemon types? And just for hecks, what's your personal favorite type?

I unfortunately live in the purgatory of Rock being my favorite type despite it probably being the second worst type behind Bug. But as for what I consider the best objectively, Steel crushes it with Fairy, Fire and Fighting also in the top 5.
Best type: Probably Steel or Fairy

Worst type: Ice…isn’t the best…

Favorite type: DRAGON MOTHER ******!!!

Went to this really cool used book store and found a copy of the Pokemon Black and White collector's edition strategy guide, even came with a cool lenticular poster.

It's a bit scuffed up, but for 10 bucks when it normally goes for 30+, I'd say it's a pretty good deal

Is bleeding on someone after they cut you in a fight an attack? Of course not. Also, I would simply not spill hot beverages
Depending on state law and whether you had a disease that could be spread by blood, yes, you could get some type of law violation.

i remember during covid era, people got charges for cough Covid on cops.

Hell, spitting on a cop is a crime (assault on public servant) to this very day.

So if you had a disease like that and someone stabbed you, getting infected by the blood coming out of your stab wound, you'd be in the wrong? I better be reading this crap wrong
I think I'm gonna start reading rhe IDW Sonic comics soon
Arghhh the IDW comics are so good, thw one thing I have to warn about is that you might need to look up when the individual miniseries take place, like Tangle and Whisper, Imposter Syndrome and Scrapnik Island, I can try to look it up later for you as I had this conversation with a friend recently

Okay but any type that gave us Articuno and Alolan Ninetails can't be that bad. Ice types are the prettiest type don't @ me fairy-type fans
Honestly, they really need to just give Ice a defense against at least one other Pokemon type.

It's never made sense to me that they aren't strong against Water-type attacks in particular. Water is ice, you'd think the logic would be that most water-based attacks would just freeze on contact with most Ice-type Pokemon or not affect them very much, but alas. I'd argue that at least Grass shouldn't be very effective against Ice, either, considering that a lot of plants either go dormant in extremely cold weather conditions or otherwise can't survive them.

I'm the last dinosaur that should be talking given that I made my own homemade type resistant to Ice, buuuuut I completely agree that Ice should resist Grass. Like, I love flowers and all, but if I got attacked by an abominable snowman, a bouquet of roses would be the last thing I use against it..

It should resist Grass and Flying imo.

And for ****s and giggles, make it resist Dragon.

Tbh I'm a bit worried about being able to find the volumes I want, I have the first 3 at home but idk how long I'd have to wait for my local comic book shop to get the ones I need

Talking of Pokemon type chart changes...the addition of my Love type would have such a profound but also funny effect on the metagame, like

No major steel type is safe. Except Scizor and Metagross lol

This doesn't even mention how Aggron and Stakataka would be, like Kingambit, QUAD WEAK to Love

It's always something that made the most sense to me. I just don't get why they didn't make Ice resistant to it and Water from the start.

Ice attacks are already super effective against Dragon-types for reasons I admittedly still don't get, so I don't see why Ice shouldn't resist Dragon attacks, too. :4larry:

Flying is another good one. Wind and birds aren't exactly as effective at melting or damaging ice compared to stuff like fire and sharpened steel.

The current theory is that, since dragons are reptiles and thus cold-blooded, they don't do well with the cold
Oh ****, whether that was Gamefreak's reasoning or not, that actually makes perfect sense.

I guess I'm just so used to dragons breathing fire in fiction that the idea of a dragon actually having to worried about getting frozen or being weak to the cold in general just rarely ever registered to me as a potential issue for them lmao.

No no. Only if you knowingly spread the infected blood to the person. There has to be intent.

Ok I should probably go to sleep but I wanna talk about a little about Sonic 3 cause I have thoughts

  • Shadow was great as expected but I kinda wanted more of him
  • The changes to his backstory made sense in this context, I mostly really love this version of Maria despite how little screentime she got. Her dynamic with Shadow was adorable and every scene with them made me tear up a bit, I do wish she got to say something to Shadow before she died though
  • THANK GOD Tails and Knuckles were not only not sidelined, but they were also not flanderized. I loved the argument scene Sonic and Knuckles had, it seemed to set up a fight scene but instead Knuckles defused the situation which was just an insanely good character moment?? It shows he's not just a mindless angry brute and that there is some wisdom within him despite his dumb exterior, and he also acted like the older brother that he technically is. Tails was great across the board, as always.
  • The part in the beginning where Tails carried Sonic and Knuckles like in Sonic Heroes? Cinema
  • I loved the Biolizard cameo, not only is it a great way to use a character that's difficult to bring over, but also because later Shadow says "what if I'm just like that monster" which is a great little easter egg
  • Jim Carrey was really good as usual
  • Some of the humor was still a bit cringe
  • I'm glad the human characters got less focus this time but this film made me realize that Tom and Maddie have 0 chemistry with each other. Also related to the previous point, theirline about the 90s made me actively groan
  • The Super Sonic vs Super Shadow fight made me jump up and down in my seat, very DBZ core
  • LIVE AND LEARN (i wish they used the full song)
  • Seems like it might be the end for Eggman this time even though I heard Jim Carrey say he's open to coming back. It was a pretty good ending for his character, at least.
  • I saw the post credits scene in the leak but seeing Amy still got me really hyped up. Wonder who built Metal Sonic tho if Eggman is dead
  • Give me Rouge in the next film please
Overall yeah it was cinema

This is the same book

Mine has an edition number and says it's "Limited Edition" I'm curious if anyone else has one and what edition theirs is, I want to know how many exist, I imagine at least 100,000 because mine is firmly in the 89,000s

You did say you wanted to make it Love-type because it's Not-Chansey but

Did you forget about its heart-shaped pawpads?

With the volumes I assume you mean the tradepaperbacks which contain a couple of issues? Personally I just order it online as the comics aren't local here which is kinda good cause that means I just get the English versions. As for the side stuff, Tangle and Whisper takes place between 4 and 5, Bad Guys between 9 and 10, Imposter Syndrome between 12 and 13 and Scrapnik Island between 13 and 14. There's also a handful of Classic IDW comics but they aren't canon
