Isn't Channukah starting on the 25th this year or did I get gaslit by a youtube video? You go celebrate something tooMerry Christmas you philistines
Gonna be real I can't keep track, I'm fairly isolated since I live with just my sister and work from home, so I don't actually go outside most of the time. I have seen Sufganiyot being sold which is the main indicator Hannukah is around the corner but tbh you could've told me Hannukah was last week and I'd believe you.Isn't Channukah starting on the 25th this year or did I get gaslit by a youtube video? Sonadow Gens is an absolute recommendation but tell me what kind of tastes you have cause the Switch is an absolute goldmine for amazing games that aren't owned by Nintendo be it smaller indie games like Penny's Big Breakaway and Slay the Princess but also incredible stuff like The House of Fata Morgana and Octopath Traveler II, both of which hold a very special place in my heartFor the first time since I could remember, did not get a video game for Christmas. Granted, I have been asking for less and less vidya every subsequent year, so it was bound to happen. Adulthood.
Not upset though, cause on the flipside, I got Book of Bill and a bunch of other quality (amd kinda expensive) gifts I can use in everyday life. Plus well over $100 worth of general gift cards, so I can get one myself if needed.
Game recs? Right now Brothership and DQ3make is on my agenda
My tastes? Big turn based RPG fan, but I think I'm a little oversaturated with that with a lot of Turn Based games that I own but haven't started, so I don't wanna burn myself out. I do enjoy playformers a lot too, and platformer RPGs are a plus (I have played SoTN a while back and enjoyed it a lot, and I do own (but haven't played) the Advance Collection).Sonadow Gens is an absolute recommendation but tell me what kind of tastes you have cause the Switch is an absolute goldmine for amazing games that aren't owned by Nintendo be it smaller indie games like Penny's Big Breakaway and Slay the Princess but also incredible stuff like The House of Fata Morgana and Octopath Traveler II, both of which hold a very special place in my heart
House of Fata Morgana is a visual novel that made me weep harder than I ever imagined was possible, Dominus Collection is the peak lf CastleVania's 2D games imo so that's worth a shot, assuming you aren't already familiar but Ace Attorney has every title on Switch which is a banger, Penny's Big Breakaway is a fun platformer that becomes a blast when you master manouvering the yoyo to constantly be on the move, the Bloodstained series is a favourite, though do avoid getting the Switch version of Ritual of the Night if possible and if you want a fun little MetroidVania then I cannot recommend Touhou Luna Nights enough, it's not very long but it's crazy fun and has the coolest time stop mechanic I have ever witnessed in a video game without even being overpoweredMy tastes? Indie games are great, cheap and fun, get a lot of bang for my buck.
And lastly, I should mention I have a PS4 so anything for that can also work
Bookmarked. I probably won't get games today, but after I clear out my backlog I'll look for more.Sonadow Gens is an absolute recommendation but tell me what kind of tastes you have cause the Switch is an absolute goldmine for amazing games that aren't owned by Nintendo be it smaller indie games like Penny's Big Breakaway and Slay the Princess but also incredible stuff like The House of Fata Morgana and Octopath Traveler II, both of which hold a very special place in my heart
If you like rpgs and don’t have either Octopath, those are good choices.Bookmarked. I probably won't get games today, but after I clear out my backlog I'll look for more.
If anyone else has any game recs (Switch, PC, PS4), feel free to chime in. Again, my gift cards are general visa cards.
Christ I cannot believe I forgot Live A Live. It's a genuine masterpiece and if any of you want to know why Undertale is Like That, play Live A LiveIf you like rpgs and don’t have either Octopath, those are good choices.
If you want a shorter experience that’s still really fleshed out, Live a Live was one of my favorite switch purchases. Several short stories that you play through and each was very memorable with fun fights and gameplay.
My reaction when the episode appeared today.Howard the Duck and Darcy Lewis being married and having a child together was not a plot line I expected to witness before 2024 ended…nor my life
Whaaaaaaa???Howard the Duck and Darcy Lewis being married and having a child together was not a plot line I expected to witness before 2024 ended…nor my life
Pretty crazy. And they said bad things about Sonic and Elise's so called "relationship" in Sonic 06.Howard the Duck and Darcy Lewis being married and having a child together was not a plot line I expected to witness before 2024 ended…nor my life
DW3 remake. It’s beautiful, turn based and prepsFor the first time since I could remember, did not get a video game for Christmas. Granted, I have been asking for less and less vidya every subsequent year, so it was bound to happen. Adulthood.

While I understand WHAT IF is essentially a different timeline where whatever we see each episode could actually be a thing in the multiverse…….but the duckHoward the Duck and Darcy Lewis being married and having a child together was not a plot line I expected to witness before 2024 ended…nor my life
