Just finished the new episode of The Amazing Digital Circus.

Good Lord I feel awful for Gangle...

Like, other than Ragatha being on a literal stupid sauce throughout most of the episode, the Gloink Queen being the Gloink Queen and the Halloween III: Season of the Witch reference (and even that last one was part of a genuinely unnerving scene), there wasn't much levity in this episode at all. It's almost entirely about Gangle and how miserable she feels.

This wasn't a grand or scary adventure like the last few. This episode jurt hurt. Yet despite all that...it still ends on a hopeful note. Not to the same extent as the last two, but still a hopeful and optimistic one. Much like Pomni herself, Gangle isn't alone, and if no one else, it's clear that Zooble and Pomni are trying to be there for her.

While Kinger's episode was insane but surprisingly sweet, Gangle's episode was just...sad.

Fitting I suppose :drshrug:

The pilot/first episode was just about insanity and Pmnni's gradual realization of the virtual nightmare that she had become literally trapped in, but the two after that had strong character development and surprisingly uplifting and optimistic endings thanks to Ragatha, Kinger and the others (except Jax) helping Pomni adapt and inspire her to have hope.

I figured there'd be episodes that delved into far darker and less optimistic territory at some point, and the trailer for Gangle's episode certainly gave me the impression that it'd be the first, but this was much darker than I even anticipated.

In response to your reply to what I said, I did say it was more of a joke now, did I? That should imply that The Game Awards has gotten worse some.

I am not trying to be hard on you, by the way.
it’s all good. I guess I read your post wrong. My fault.

In North America, Nintendo Switch Online added more games to the service in 2024 than any previous years, with 56 games.
While that’s a super good dump of games, it’s too late in the cycle to care. I wish Nintendo would not start from scratch each gen.

It always feels like we’re about to collapse as a society. Can we just get it over with and collapse already so we can start rebuilding?
Society isn’t even remotely close to collapsing.

A more lighthearted note about TaDC's latest episode:

The writers at Glitch knew exactly what they were doing when they had Ragatha refer to Pomni trying to talk to the new Gummigoo as "flirting" and say that she wished someone would flirt with her, too.

Caine basically admitted that they know they're powerless to stop violent shipping wars, so I'm guessing that they're just adding fuel to the fire on purpose. :4larry:

I feel like Episode 3 is still my favorite episode but poor Gangle. Also poor Pomni at points having to come to grips with a certain thing.
Based on Ragatha's comments about Caine sometimes reusing NPCs in episode 2 and the previews that showed the Gloink Queen was returning, I figured that Gummigoo would return as one of the customers in this episode.

I think most likely, it's true that he's a different version of the same NPC or otherwise had his memory wiped and he's unnerved by the fact that Pomni keeps following him and somehow knows his name, but the fact that he doesn't say much and even seemingly tries to reach out to her when she does mention his name hints ever so slightly that he might remember more than he's either able to share without risk of being deleted again or that Caine merely surpressed his memories rather than erase them outright.

Either way, I'm intrigued and want to see him and other NPCs return as the show goes on if there's more to what happens to old NPCs in the Circus after all. With that said, my biggest takeaway is still everything concerning Gangle. Zooble openly admitted that they thought Kinger would be the first of the crew to Abstract, but I think this episode heavily implied that poor Gangle is actually far closer to Abstracting than anyone else.

Glad this turned into a bit of a meme but I still don’t feel like I have an answer.
I feel like to properly translate a city into a Sonic level, the architecture needs to be inherently hostile. You can't just take a regular, walkable town with sensible roads and make it into City Escape.

There need to be roads that are steep beyond reason, buildings with completely clashing styles propped against each other, roads that start and end without any sign, pavements full of hazards and obstacles, cars trying to kill you, also a lot of hills and large bodies of water to add the necessary verticality and instant KO zones.

So, obviously, Istanbul.

Is Shadow Labyrinth gonna have DLC based on the rest of the Secret Level episodes?
It's also inevitable the PS-exclusive content based on it's episode.

Venom 3 was fun, at least.

Not sure where the confidence in the guy comes from though.
When Avi Arad isn't trying to cause Studio Interference, the movies turn out pretty great (First two Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies and the Spider-Verse franchise for example). I believe the idea is that Nintendo would stop Avi Arad from interfering with the Legend of Zelda movie, so it turns out to be pretty solid.
