I feel like to properly translate a city into a Sonic level, the architecture needs to be inherently hostile. You can't just take a regular, walkable town with sensible roads and make it into City Escape.

There need to be roads that are steep beyond reason, buildings with completely clashing styles propped against each other, roads that start and end without any sign, pavements full of hazards and obstacles, cars trying to kill you, also a lot of hills and large bodies of water to add the necessary verticality and instant KO zones.

So, obviously, Istanbul.

Looked at some pictures and I think this works. It has all of what you’re saying and also doesn’t look significantly like the previous city levels in the series

Ya know I wasn't too big on the Orange Islands, but as I'm getting near the end of that era of the anime it is growing on me a bit.

I just finished Charizard Chills and it's kind of funny how Charizard nearly died from like...just a regular pokemon battle. And yeah it's meant to be a cute homage to when Ash first met Charmander and how its flame almost went out, and it feels implied that the flame being weak has more to do with Charizard's spirit then with the actual temperature but still like...

The tone of the Orange Islands just feels so jarring sometimes.

Man, Avi is really having a bad run with film projects he had been involved in so far.

Will still have to wait and see how the Legend of Zelda film pans out though.

When Avi Arad isn't trying to cause Studio Interference, the movies turn out pretty great (First two Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies and the Spider-Verse franchise for example). I believe the idea is that Nintendo would stop Avi Arad from interfering with the Legend of Zelda movie, so it turns out to be pretty solid.

Tbf he did meddle a bit with Across, it was his suggestion to make Spot the main villain which was great, but beyond that Avi Arad is a smelly doodoo head who's name brings naught but dread

I have seen Kraven The Hunter and I am a changed man. So, without spoilers, here are my thoughts…..

1. The movie is about a Russian family who loves to hunt. A father and his 2 sons. Each person had a distinct personality and skill set. I liked that. It felt fresh for a CBM.

2. The movie definitely earned its R rating due to blood and gore. Some of the kills are quite cool and creative. I liked that. Again, a CBM doing something fresh is always nice.

3. The ADR (automated dialogue replacement) is so poorly done that the mouths had to have AI move the lips (you can tell because the lips get blurry) to kinda match the words. Other times, when the characters faced away from the camera, the tone and speed of voices changed completely mid conversation. It’s as if the actors clearly came back in on a different day to record over half of the conversation. You can really tell that Sony didn’t like huge amounts of the dialogue.

4. There is a very powerful bad guy in the movie who kills people by counting numbers. Thankfully, I’m bad at math, so I’d be immune to his fighting style.

5. The Rhino (holy be thy name), who was clearly designed for the PlayStation 2, is a drug addict. He keeps bags of liquid drugs in his child sized backpack to consume when times get tough. In his human form, he hisses like a cat when he gets frustrated. Whats even more crazy? He’s best character in the movie by far. Oh btw, if any of you have seen Face Off (1997), The Rhino actor is the same guy who plays Pollux Troy.

6. There are small things in the movie that show Sony simply doesn’t care about details. Example 1: there is a scene where Kraven is in a fierce Russian snow storm. Not one piece of snow touches his clothes or hair and you cant see his breath exit his mouth. Example 2: 2 ladies are in the middle of a savanna and it’s crazy windy. They sit down and begin to play cards. The cards don’t move despite the bushes, trees, grass and their hair blowing all around. Again, it’s minor, but it’s so obvious.

7. Kraven is an animal lover but ends up killing animals.

8. Some of the dialogue is so terrible it actually insults the intellect of the viewer. “My grandmother died a few weeks later. I never saw her again.” lmao no **** you never saw her again. She died!!!!!

9. There is no mid or end credit scene. Once the movie is done, it’s done.

I'm not super convinced that we will be getting a brand new Mario Kart in the launch year, I feel like it all depends on how much resources Tour and the Booster Course Pass took.

Like it will probably happen not too far after, but it wouldn't shock me if it is in year 2.

I am also not ruling out the possibility of another MK8 port lol

Well the BCP credits had 3x the programmers credited as vanilla MK8, so it could be a lot more than you expect.

That said I doubt MK8 Double Deluxe considering it won't be new to the non-Wii U-owning crowd anymore.

Seems it’s real actually.

This was posted late last night and this account is followed by people like kit and Krysta, stealth and more. So I’m guessing they have some connections to the industry. So they seemingly are aware of and support this rumor.

Potentially but like you could call it Mario kart 9 yourself and that not be the real name. They could also skip tour, and call it 9 anyway, but I doubt that. Regardless a portion of the fanbase will probably call it 9 if it’s not directly labeled 10.
