My main couple goals involve...a lot of affection and kisses.

Like people would stare at us, but I'd be like, who cares, I'm too in love for that to matter, more kisses please! THAT'S the kind of relationship I want

Honestly I don't think I actually want a relationship for a while. I'm both broke and really focused on my work, plus I don't actually have anyone I'm actively interested in at the moment. On top of all that I'm still not done figuring out what my gender is so yeah it'll be a while til I'll have the mental space for a relationship

Oh yeah also my parents are separated right now so considering everything that's going on with that, romance is the furthest thing from my mind at the moment

how is it that an anime about 2 teens dealing with aliens and spirits while also balancing romance and one of them losing their…man parts…somehow one of the most normal anime premieres of 2024?

It's really cool when people feel comfortable doing that kinda thing... there should totally be more than one Halloween a year, dammit!

That said, as nice as the idea of a relationship might sound on paper, I don't really feel it'd be right for me to pursue one for a small handful of reasons. I've been in a couple of relationships in the past, but they didn't really work out in the long run - no hard feelings, they were lovely while they lasted. That said, if I were to pursue one nowadays, I'd probably say my main goal would be that both of us could feel a sense of comfort in something so simple as being in the same room together, even if we don't have to necessarily talk or do anything in particular. Kind of like the concept of parallel play in cats, I suppose? That might be my low social battery talking... heh.

Honestly, one thing I've always appreciated about "manga" and "anime" in general is how - at a glance - a lot of the stuff getting published just seems off-the-wall bat**** in concept, but people just roll with it. I guess that might come from my own interest in much weirder media overall, though...

I'm going to have to add this to my ever-growing list of things to read at some point. Which... sounds odd, given your description. Oh well.

Imagine if there was a therapist who could like, enter people's minds, and then they had to do wrestling matches with physical manifestations of people's troubles within the mindscape using various fighting techniques loosely inspired by actual theraputic techniques? That'd be cool as hell. I'd love that.

But... yeah, I guess you're not wrong.

I don't know, but either ending shows that Sage will be sticking around with Eggman. Though, the DLC ending with a form going beyond Super might be possible in future installments. Super form and Chaos Emeralds being not enough might become another idea.

Honestly I think the reason the idw comics haven’t tied into frontiers yet is because Sega hasn’t decided which ending is canon or not yet. That and frontiers came out when they were in the middle of a major arc where they couldn’t really stop to have Sonic and co go to starfall in the middle of it.

I've been playing the Castlevania Dominus Collection throughout this month and I think Portrait of Ruin might be my favorite game in the series.

And Nightmare Before has been watched.

Dare I say this movie is better watching it as an adult? Jack in particular ages well the older I get, I too get sick of doing the same routine, song, and dance and desire something more. Not down with the whole kidnapping and impersonating someone, and then getting the military on me, but I get it, I want something new too, there are days where I feel empty and unhappy. Sally too, I kinda felt the same as her, particularly before I moved out of my parents place. Sheltered households. Not fun.

Now on more of the movie, one, I didn't realize how short the movie was. As a kid it felt like forever, but this movie went by fast and that's ok. The pacing was perfect. Also may have one of the best intros in any Disney movie. Also also, Oogie Boogie didn't get as much screen time as I remembered, but his presence was for sure felt throughout the film. Ken Page really brought him to life (again, RIP), and also his death scene still makes me a little squeamish (it made me a lot of squeamish as a kid). Surprised there was no punishment for the kids, but Sora whooped them in Kingdom Hearts so all is forgiven.

All in all:



edit: almost forgot. The animation was outstanding then and still outstanding today.
