Inkay is such a cute little squiddy fren that it's honestly kind of sad that it evolves into one of the most malevolent Pokemon we have right now.
Though maybe that's cuz I'm just a sucker for cephalopods. Lol.
I also find Psychic/Dark to be a really interesting type combo in theory, even though it's pretty dogwater in practice. (Don't make me talk about the Love type again lol)

The names for Inkay and Malamar were leaked before the actual Pokemon were shown off, as well as the fact that their evolution line would have something to do with flipping or reversing.
So the fandom took the whole reversing thing and decided to flip the names, giving us Yakni and Ramalam. So clearly these Pokemon must be a yak that evolves into a ram!
Even though those are two completely separate kinds of creatures

I still don’t get why. All reploids were created based on X’s design. So why don’t they all look relatively human like X, Zero, and Sigma?
It’s just a gimmick to differentiate it more from Classic I tell ya.

Still missing OG Mega Man. But it has Sub-Zero, Mega Man X, Zero and Vectorman. They even have an Under-Night and BlazBlue character for more fighting game originals. I know SOMEONE did a Brawl Mega Man back during Smash 4. But I'd like to think a cleaner version could be made, with maybe his 3DS model.
I heard that the plan was to add everyone from Ultimate at some point though. Ridley, K.Rool, Incineroar, Terry, Sora, Kazuya are in. Can't remember if Ken is. Pyra and Mythra had to be separate. While I do think getting as much of the Smash 4 and Ultimate cast should take priority. I like seeing some new weirdos in.

You want a sorta in-universe reason?
Certain Reploids are built with specific purposes, despite the free will they are programed with. Likely because while Mega Man X himself was built to be as real as a person is (to the point of having a digital soul), most others were likely built that way solely because the tech is powerful and new. So the free will is almost just a consequence of aping MMX. This is part of the reason Marvericks exist, as they didn't go through the ethical training MMX did(for 30 years, it's supposed to take a normal human about 7 years to "really get" empathy at the most before it gets worrying). The other reason is Wily being Wily, lmao.
Most bystander reploids ARE human shaped. Look at the NPCs in Command Mission for example. The bosses just get to share a thematic element.
The animal theming isn't exclusive to Mega Man X, as it carries over into MMZ/MMZX. So it's just a thing in a LOT of Mega Man games at some point. Human looking bosses, such as Vile, Dynamo, Bit, Colonel, Ferham, Berkana ect. having higher ranks in a narrative sense.
Water themed Reploids being based on Octopi/Crabs/Stingrays/Whales isn't that strange. Nor a lot of flying Reploids being based on Birds or Bugs. And while the mind is human like, the body doesn't necessitate that, and strictly limiting themselves to human designs limits creativity/functionality.
Also, it's just cool.
I feel like a middle evolution where it's a shotgun of some kind is missing. But really, it's one of the stranger changes, since even the color scheme doesn't tie the two together.No, a pistol evolves into a tank.

But there's always the chance to make a third form a giant Kraken suspiciously shaped like a Nuke. Or a Flying type regional variant based on a military drone.
If you're doing something like a cow into a ram. You'd likely play into the horns or climbing rams can do, but why wouldn't the last form be a kid I guess?

Weird **** happens to a point where you create a non-confrontational non-answer to the problems of the world. Problems within the world aren’t quite solved, but peace is somehow achieved.
And Rudy’s illness progresses and needs a funny bone transplant to survive. Spend all 8 chapters slowly convincing sans to participate in the surgery to save his life (he will send Papyrus under a ruse at the last minute).

Honestly I never got the StonexRobotnik shippers. Their relationship seems pretty one sided. He has all this devotion to Eggman but I don’t think Eggman returns it in any way.

People just like shipping dude, regardless of how the characters actually feel about each other.
At least there’s an actual dynamic here, as one-sided as it may be. Often there’s way less of a basis for the ships these wackos come up with.

The only ships I’ve ever been a supporter of that wasn’t just the characters cannon love interest would be Webby and Lena in the new DuckTales and Mighty and Ray in Sonic.
I guess you could arguably count SonicxAmy and ShadowxRouge if you wanted to be pedantic but come on.
