The trademark Nerd hate and humor seems really forced in a lot of his recent videos, tbh.

I know focusing on positive reviews and retrospectives would go against the whole "Angry" part of his moniker, but it just feels so much more genuine and entertaining when he's talking about something from his childhood that he actually enjoys.

You can only say ass, ****, ****, damn soo much before people get desensitized to it.


So when it's an actual happy review, it's a huge change of pace.



Though NGL, his Polybius episode is still my favorite just cause it gave off such a good, campy creepypasta feel.

What's this about Power Rangers getting cancelled?

That said, no way would they ever touch series like Zenkaiger or KingOhger lol, footage is practically unusable

Its been said that Cosmic Fury is the final season of the Power rangers as we know them and future use of the IP would be starting from scratch, like Hasbros other brands.

I haven't caught up but post time skip stuff supposedly has proper filming instead of green screen everything for KingOhger so maybe? But yeah Hasbro thinks Sentai is holding Power Rangers back and not, y'know, Power Rangers itself

Tbh it's kinda been like that even before the movie, his 4 part Castlevania marathon from way back was super passionate even in comparision to his old Angry reviews. The Earthbound one can be debated as his best video.

Plus in some cases, like Sonic 06, I feel like an AVGN review of them is...redundant, because at this point you don't need the Nerd to know 06 is a ****load of ****.

On the other hand, I give Superman 64 Returns credit for showing there's more to Superman 64 sucking than levels where you fly through rings.

So the most recent season of Power Rangers, Cosmic Fury, just aired and
-They have not confirmed another season
-Hasbro is not making any new toys for the time being
-There is apparently a reboot in the works that has had like no movement

KingOhger is still using mostly volume filming in part 2, there is a little more on-site filming but overall it would be an extremely difficult series to adapt

I did hear about Hasbro planning to move away from Sentai, not sure that's gonna work out for them lol

I just tried the Super Mario Bros. Wonder demo. I really liked it and from what I've played it felt much more satisfying than previous SMB games.

I only played as Mario and Luigi to hear their new voices (not bad imo).
