A leaker with a good track record, Pyoro, started talking about the unconfirmed but totally upcoming direct. He leaked Mario Wonder and Mario RPG last time.

He said that something F-Zero related and something DK related were coming, so of course people got excited. But now it seems the games are F-Zero 99 and a new entry for the Mario vs Donkey Kong series.

So, Y’know. Not as exciting.

Man **** the switch 2. We've been waiting for a new 3D Mario, a new DK game, and Metroid Prime 4 for years and all of them seem to be being held back for the ****ing Switch 2. A console I at least don't even want.

The beauty of Smash when it's past its prime is that it's a time capsule of that era, alongside being a prime modding scene in the case of Brawl. Having a Smash game that lives or dies by its servers being up, and once it's gone it's just, gone forever just doesn't sit right with me.

The idea is that it's a Kart Racer made by Fazbear Entertainment in-universe that's haunted by a spirit or remnant or whatever so it's mostly light hearted stuff themed after the in-universe characters with a few secret "Glitch" characters and tracks from the horror side of the franchise. I don't really care about how it would affect the lore or anything. I only included that aspect because I thought people would expect it to be there.

I just beat Halo 2 for the first time, and I can see why people were annoyed by how it ended back in the day. I'm going to take a break from first person shooters for a bit, though I'm debating on what to focus on next. (Tears of the Kingdom? Persona 5 Royal? Pikmin 4?)

Just a followup to my thought process because it's still occupying my head. It was really hard and really fun to think of thematically appropriate tracks for all the characters that weren't all just something scary. And some of them make no sense at all, about as much sense as giving Donkey Kong a ski resort racetrack honestly. But at a certain point I think it gets so ridiculous that it's fun. All the adjectives making the racetrack names super long winded just amuses me.
