Most businesses should close by tomorrow, unless the Hurricane fizzles out quickly and gets downgraded. It's a Category 4 right now, but even Category 1 hurricanes are dangerous, so unless the storm fizzles out almost entirely, businesses are almost certainly going to close for the weekend and maybe a few days after.

Either way, stay safe. Batten down the hatches at your home however possible.

From what I gather it's actually expected to fizzle back down to a regular tropical storm by the time it hits SoCal.

Which is still more severe then typical California weather amd will still cause flooding, just thanfully not hurricane-level.

Still going to hole up inside. I mainly commute by biking so it still wouldn't be safe for me to go to work.

Yes, but a good word of mouth can easily carry it.

Guardians started similarly and picked up fast.

Elementals started just as bad and somehow still made enough to turn a profit and break some records.

Positive word of mouth and internet marketing by fans can definitely give the movie legs.

Andor is fantastic, I would also add Rebels and The Mandalorian to that list. Both are really really good.

I liked Book Of Boba Fett and Obi-wan but they are inessential* to put it lightly.

*Except for the last 2 episodes of BOB.

Mando fell off hard in season 3, like that was actually garbage and I haven't bothered watching Book of Boba Fett aside from the last 3 episodes. Obi-Wan should've been a movie, it's just stretched out as hell and pretty mid which makes it worse when you take into account that people have been wanting to see Ewan back in the role for years.

Honestly if Ahsoka isn't a masterpiece I'm done with Star Wars, it's been garbage for years now and hasn't shown much signs of recovering. I'm still mad about Rise of Skywalker

For season 1, at east, I do kinda agree. I need to finish season 3 and then watch 4, so I can't really attest to the quality of the later seasons.

I can also agree that a lot of it's content is best when it's tied to other Star Wars stories or characters. Like, the main characters originating in Rebels aren't overshadowed by other Star Wars stuff, but earlier on at least, some of the best parts of the show concerned other characters.

So uhh, apparently a Hurricane is going to hit SoCal within the next few days.

Thankfully my family and I don't live close to the coast, so at worst we might just have to worry about high winds and thunderstorms, but those storms might still be more intense than what we're used to, and California in general hasn't been hit or severally affected by hurricane in decades, so I'm still rather concerned. I really hope the state in general isn't struck too badly by it.

I've been there the whole time with The Last Jedi, it is one of the best Star Wars projects.

The only reason Rise Of Skywalker is my second (or third depending on how charitable I am to Phantom Menace) least favorite and not my least, is because of Babu Frik and Klaud.

Speaking of, is there any hype for The Marvels?

Coming out soon and I hear no buzz about it.

I'm personally not feeling the hype for this film and it's not due to MCU fatigue (though I haven't been real thrilled with the Disney+ shows aside from Moon Knight and Loki.) It's really stemming from the fact that I don't care for Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers as I thought her movie was very underwhelming. It's also starring Ms Marvel whose show I couldn't get into.

Imo Rebels is fine but very kiddy and not particularly great, most of the amazing parts are tied to other Star Wars things.

It might have been due to me having lowered expectations as I was coming of Clone Wars 2008, but I had a great time watching Rebels with particular praise going to the third and fourth seasons.
