I tried playing my FRLG randomizer and... yeah it's boring. The randomizer keeps things interesting but Kanto not having much to do, the **** ton of random encounters, and the fact that the game is so slow comoared to Legends is... yeah.


FRLG still good games, but damn did the modern games spoil me.

In all fairness, Galar wasn't a very particularly interesting region.

While true, it did have a good roster of Pokemon and human designs. It’s a shame that most of these guys won't have a proper main anime debut (though at least most of the Gym Leaders have Twilight Wings).

Sw/Sh helped me get through the isolation of the pandemic for a while, so I really can't look back on the games negatively.

The story could've been better, the entire map could've been more open-world like the what the new games have, but I still enjoyed the game, and that's what matters to me.

If the next series is another "Ash goes on adventure in new region" type thing, then Galar really kinda got shafted lol

Whilst I do appreciate the idea of exploring other regions where Ash get to meet some of his old friends and rivals, I felt that Journeys was a bit of a wasted opportunity as his character and some of his Pokemon that lacked shine and development which is something that I really missed from the previous Pokemon animated series.
