This is Miyamoto. After consulting with Chris-san, my partner at Illumination on the Super Mario Bros. film, we decided to move the global release to Spring 2023–April 28 in Japan and April 7 in North America. My deepest apologies but I promise it will be well worth the wait.

we are 2/3rd of Moon Knight. This is why we are together foreverOur minds have fused together to form one being
Who's the last third thoughwe are 2/3rd of Moon Knight. This is why we are together forever
That ain't always the case, there has been delayed movies that proved to be bad.A delayed movie is eventually good, but a rushed movie is forever bad.
it shall either be TheMightyP or Noipoi simoly because we need a psychotic yet funny person to keep things balanced.Who's the last third though
Well ****, I guess they got scaredNintendo looking at Sonic Movie hype knowing they're cooking up a 5/10 with Mario

Let’s be real though, Avatar 2 probably isn’t going to do as well as they want it to.Looking at the release date, the delay makes sense
Early April of next year seems pretty barren when it comes to notable releases, with little to no real competition box office wise
Meanwhile it's initial Dec '22 release would've had it the week after Avatar 2

Actually... when was the last time Illumination made a bad film? The Lorax? Minions was just mediocre, but Rise of Gru actually looks damn good. They're leaving it in the hands of Illumination, the same company behind Minions.
FixedJack Black is still the best choice to cast for Bowser.
I can't just see Jack Black doing a deep gruff voice.Fixed

Somehow I'm not surprised considering we have not seen any form of advertising since the cast reveal.Bad news for y’allThis is Miyamoto. Unless they end up delaying it agian.Somehow I'm not surprised considering we have not seen any form of advertising since the cast reveal.
Still funny the Mario movie will be released exactly a year after Sonic 2.
I don't feel Bowser necessarily needs a gruff voice. I feel for an Illumination movie, Jack Black could actually work out as a more comedic Bowser pretty well.I can't just see Jack Black doing a deep gruff voice.
They should've went with someone who could.
Such a cast feels so out of place. Chris Pratt I can at least see doing a decent Brooklyn accent for Mario.
When I look at Bowser and the way he sounds and how he especially talked at the end of Super Mario Sunshine, a gruff deep voice is exactly how I'd picture him talking like.I don't feel Bowser necessarily needs a gruff voice. I feel for an Illumination movie, Jack Black could actually work out as a more comedic Bowser pretty well.
Huh, I... completely forgot they made a Grinch movie, and it had Tyler The Creator (an artist I love) and my favorite christmas story mixed into one so it must've been some mid.The most memorable part of the Grinch movie is the fake smash leak that used it as evidence
The Despicable Me films are genuinely good films for some reason. I've rewatched Despicable Me and Despicable Me 3 a couple times (I had nothing better to do and they weren't showing anything better) and it's been enjoyable each time.Super hot take, the animation fandom weirdly overhates on Illumination big time.
They've made some solid films (The entire Despicable Me trilogy is solid, and I actually liked Sing) And most of their lower stuff is still 5/10-6/10 material.
I like to assume people are just sick of Facebook moms spamming minion memes, so they need to vent their frustration somewhere
There's a non-zero chance that Nintendo's big reveal for this year's Game Awards could be one of the first trailersWith its April release date, we’re lookin at a trailer around late this year.
So uhh
damn
Honeatly, one of my biggest issues with the animation community is that just can't let things go. In the example of Illumination, yeah Minions was mid but... it was also 7 years ago, Illumination has made better films. Please, let it go.Super hot take, the animation fandom weirdly overhates on Illumination big time.

Late in the year?TBH I kinda thought in the back of my mind this was possible.
The dead silence was getting really weird for how late we already are into the year.
As a counterpoint: Helen Mirren.Jack Black is still the oddest choice to cast for Bowser.
