I think part of the reason that the MCU was so successful in it's early days was because they didn't have their most iconic characters available. Instead of being able to coast off of name recognition of characters like Spider-Man, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four, they had to work with their less popular characters, where they had to make sure that the quality was there. And it payed off - the MCU is the biggest series on the planet, and they eventually got their old most popular characters back. I think DC would benefit from the same thing, a self-imposed challenge where they don't touch Batman for a decade (Superman gets a pass because he hasn't had a good live action movie since the 70's). I'm not saying they need to give the most obscure characters movies, but give other characters a chance to become as big as Batman and Iron Man.

What's wrong with Super Rush?

The game was actually loads of fun it just did the thing that Nintendo has been doing with their sports games this generation. Announcing very specific content updates for the game before the game actually released leading to the game feeling unfinished and losing some potential audience.

If any game company has to get a cinematic universe, I would want it to be Capcom. They have a wealth of iconic characters, and unlike most other gaming companies, most of their IPs are just cohesive enough to believably be able to inhabit the same world. There's even a precedent for Capcom series crossing over! Based on this, I decided to put together a mockup for what phase 1 of a capcom cinematic universe could look like.

a few notes:

• Due to the (somewhat) popular pre-existing Resident Evil movies, I decided to name this movie after the Japanese title, Biohazard.
• Ace Attorney and The World Warriors are television shows. Ace Attorney would be a multi-season, semi-episodic legal comedy. World Warriors is an anthology series, with each episode depicting the backstory of one of the 8 combatants who will be in Street Fighter
• the combatants in Street Fighter 1 are Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, Guile, Blanka, Q, Dudley, and Juri.
• I went with Megaman X because his proportions are most similar to the rest of the characters. He's something of a reverse Captain America, he gets sent to the past in his movie.
• Dr. Wily is the main antagonist of the Capcom Vs. movie. He starts a robot uprising, and Dante, Leon, X, and a few of the Street Fighter characters show up to stop him. In the post credits scene, you can see Wily starting work on Zero.

I still think CGI classic Mega Man wouldn’t be too out of place in a live action setting even if his design is game accurate. Robots don’t always need to adhere to actual human proportions.

If nothing else maybe Classic could have movies separate from this universe
