Somewhat surprised to see a direct already, but happy we got one. 40 minutes is pretty big. The exciting thing is not really knowing anything on it so there could be some fun reveals.

Only thing I could say for sure will be there is Kirby and Zelda. Advance wars would make sense to since I don’t think they announced the new release date. Splatoon 3 will also likely be there.

xenoblade and fire emblem are my only other guesses towards new games announced.

It depends on the set, but typically in competitive most pokemon specialize in which attacking stat is highest. So if you use Dialga for isntance, it's usually best to run a -attack nature and only special moves, since 150 special attack is so massive you don't really need to use Dialga's 120 attack stat. That makes Dialga's attack stat pretty redundant, so more special defense is just objectionally better.

Now Palkia on the other hand does at least have some use for physical moves. It can use Scale Shot to boost its speed or Focus Punch to take out Blissey. But speed is very important for offensive pokemon so that extra 20 base speed for Palkia is going to be very tempting.

...But in traditonal games origin form Giratina has to hold an item to take that form, so if Palkia/Dialga have similar requirements maybe their alternate forms won't be so redundant. Items can be pretty powerful so not being able to run say, Choice Specs on origin Dialga could be a big deal.
