Pretty much every manga that I've been into has been a shonen of some kind. Mostly battle shonen, though Death Note, Eyeshield 21, and Bakuman are the exceptions. (and even then, they're still published in Shonen Jump)
I've been trying to branch out, anime/manga-wise (I've watched Akira, and I've started Cowboy Bebop and Neon Genesis Evangelion - I don't think any of them qualify as shonen, though I coud be wrong), but I find those types of manga easiest to get into. Lately, I've been watching Hunter x Hunter on Netflix (currently on the Chimera Ant arc, which was a bit dark for my tastes, though it's getting better), and I've read a bit of Demon Slayer to finally read a series that's been made in the past few years. (on top of my weekly standbys of One Piece, My Hero Academia, and Fairy Tail)

On an unrelated note, I picked up the Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes for roughly 70% off. I'll probably play them on easy mode, assuming that's an option, since history (and my attempts at the pre-RE4 games in the series) shows that I'm not good at survival horror, but I want to try Resident Evil games outside of 4, 5, and the Umbrella Chronicles.
