I'm not mad, just disappointed

I've been saying that since the day they simped for Min Min into Smash. :ulthelix:

but she's also got no boobs cause child...or at least I assume she's a kid...and doesn't have her own Morgana/Viridi fusion goddess inside of her like Byleth does...

Meanwhile I think Byleth and Min Min are super fun and can play them for a long time.

But Steve isn't that fun. The lack of range hurts. I get frustrated.

makes me wonder how the overall Smash community feels about playing Steve competitively and for fun as of now. Are most people still in love with him or are they ready to get a new shiny toy to play with...unless they too busy feuding with Nintendo to get their competitive rights back

Steve is hard to play, but tbh, I got used to the lack of range. He has more to make up with it with the rest of his kit being busted if you know how to use it.

So it looks like Warner Bros. 17 films slated for 2021 which includes, Tom & Jerry, Mortal Kombat and James Gunn's Suicide Squad is not only heading to theaters, but will also be available for HBO Max next year.

Pretty much my reason. Barely played it since Steve came out and probably won't until the next character comes out. Then again, I've barely touched my Switch in recent weeks. Ghostrunner, Xenoblade 2 and Super Mario Sunshine for a bit here and there.

Been far more on the PS4 as compared to it.

Persona 5 was a very big and well received title, Dragon Quest is basically the father of adventure RPGs, Banjo and Kazooie have been a highly requested fighter for years, SNK made plenty of notable fighting games, Three Houses was a big title for the FE franchise, and Minecraft is the best selling game in the world. ARMS just feels a bit out of place. Not saying I dislike it’s inclusion, of course.

Three Houses was close to the success of Min Min, so I wouldn't say Min Min was too out of place.

I'm still waiting to see a bit more of the Fighter's Pass before buying the DLC honestly. I imagine a few other people are like that, but there's bound to be plenty who got the DLC off rip.

I've also been holding off on MUA3's DLC, so maybe I'll focus on that next instead.

Min Min was an odd choice to lead the Fighters Pass, but ARMS was a brand new, successful IP from Nintendo and was one of the biggest titles for the Switch in its launch year, so I think it makes a lot of sense to include it.

Kind of. It's a new IP that sold like 2million copies, and the game's director just picked his personal favorite to be the playable fighter. It's not as huge as Splatoon or anything, but its nothing to sneeze at either. There's not a ton of overlap with the chosen characters, which is mostly a positive in my book. Outside of 3rd Party characters (4 out of 7) and RPG characters (3 out of 7) at least. And even then, 3rd party choices, no matter who, are justifiably more marketable with most Nintendo icons in as it is.

Min Min is in a weird spot in that she would have been best recieved if she was in the base game, but had that happened, Springman would be in instead with a not as inspired moveset. And she wouldn't have worked in FP1 because there wouldn't be a place to put her, and she's an odd choice for the lead of FP2 after the negative reception of Byleth.

Though, let's be real: Steve -> Min Min would have been far worse hype wise than Min Min -> Steve. Timing matters.

I remember lots of peoples were excited for Min-Min back then....

Tho I think in lots of cases, it wasn't so much for Min-Min herself and more so it wasn't SpringMan or another ARMS characters they didn't like/care about that ended up getting the spot. (tho it's not unique to Min-Min, lots of newcomers have peoples wanting them in part because they dislikes others characters getting their spots)

The last part could be the cynic in me getting a bit too ahead of itself tho, and whatever it's true or not, Min-Min, like any characters, as a fanbase that really like her, and that shouldn't be denied.

Think too the lack of attention she got was because at the time of her release, the Smash community was....kinda on fire, to put it lightly.
