Direct was funny, especially on the ends of Final Fantasy and Mario.

Yeah, can Chris Patt even do an Italian accent, at all?I just still can't picture and imagine Chris Pratt and Jack Black as the voices of Mario and Bowser.
They are great actors don't get me wrong but I just can't see how Jack Black could manage to do the deep low-tone voice of that of Bowser we've heard and seen in the games and Chris Pratt, his voice just doesn't really match of that of Mario's...
Iirc, the church he regularly attends is notoriously anti-gay, and other stuffYeah uh..
I'm looking into this homophobic Chris Pratt thing and all I can find is this "guilty by association" thing were some execs and is church were homophibic and so he supposedly must be as well.
Am I missing something here?
At this point may as well just separate the art from the artist, no one in Hollywood could be "innocent" at this point.Iirc, the church he regularly attends is notoriously anti-gay, and other stuff

I think there are plenty of Hollywood actors who are better than this. Grouping them together like this just makes the worse ones look tame in comparison. At this point may as well just separate the art from the artist, no one in Hollywood could be "innocent" at this point.
How can you stretch a film where three of the major characters don't speak for 2 hours?I think the Super Mario Bros. movie would be better if they didn't have Mario, Luigi, and Bowser not talking and just like in the games the former two just saying their particular catchphrases (Voiced by their original current voice actors).
I could however let Peach fly by with talking.
I think it can be done. Take a note from the SSE in Brawl. Body language and expressions understanding what they're thinking and such. How can you stretch a film where three of the major characters don't speak for 2 hours?
That wasn't a cinema movie, though, as it was a video game. There may be some films where there is no talking, but most films have spoken speech in them, and I have doubts that the Mario film will be an exception.I think it can be done. So Mr. Pratt confirms he will be doing a “Voice” for Mario and not just his regular voice and now I feel more at ease about this choice! I’m all in!! 🍄👨🏻🧱 #SuperMarioMovie pic.twitter.com/CkoOFiuKux

Again this is where Wall-E comes to mind if you don't take the human parts into account. That wasn't a cinema movie, though, as it was a video game. Yeah, I know. Still, I can imagine some people find it odd that the main character in a film like this does not speak. I mean, the robots, as far as I know, weren't made with voice chips, especially Wall-E, who was made with a bunch of other robots to clean up Earth or whatever before the humans left for space.Again this is where Wall-E comes to mind if you don't take the human parts into account.
It's just Mario is known for only saying certain catchphrases. Be weird seeing Mario talk normally.Yeah, I know. At least Frank Welker got to voice one of his charactersNothing will be worse than how dirty they did Scoob's casting tbh
Yeah, but those were beasts who could not speak at all. Not to be mean or rude, but why not try some examples with humans who don't actually talk. It's just Mario is known for only saying certain catchphrases. Be weird seeing Mario talk normally.
Other example is Alpha (2018). An underrated and very overlooked movie set in prehistoric times. I know Michael Dougherty, director of Trick r Treat, Krampus, and Godzilla: King of the Monsters wants to do Godzilla B.C. focusing mostly on Godzilla's point of view and also some of our prehistoric ancestors.
I don’t agree with this, Bowser has some of the best dialogue writing in the series,Bowser not talking
I remembered he talked a bit in Super Mario Sunshine but otherwise most other games had him just grunting and growling and such. Even then he only spoke a bit at the end of Sunshine.I don’t agree with this, Bowser has some of the best dialogue writing in the series,

Plus, we already had a long cinimatic experience where Mario, Luigi, and Bowser didn't talk.I don’t agree with this, Bowser has some of the best dialogue writing in the series,
Are you calling our ancestors beasts? Because Alpha (2018) was about a young boy, the son of the chief's tribe being separated from them and surviving together with a wolf he befriended.Yeah, but those were beasts who could not speak at all. Spoot! How did I overlook that show?Mario talking normally worked fine in the tv shows. This isn't new ground at all

If you don't put in the English subtitles, that's an example of using body expressions and body language.
Also Quest for Fire, Ron Perlman's first film role.

That's... boring
Okay yeah that nude scene definitively qualifies as sexual harassment. And I'll never defend abandoning an animal like that.Iirc, the church he regularly attends is notoriously anti-gay, and other stuff

I’m referring to his written dialogue, like in speech balloonsI remembered he talked a bit in Super Mario Sunshine but otherwise most other games had him just grunting and growling and such. Even then he only spoke a bit at the end of Sunshine.
