So people don't have to write down what character they're using? Only the order of the players? What about stage counterpicking? JV gives you a stock back?

Both sides write down the players and each of the characters they will use and who will go first. You then let the opposing team see the list. After that, the first match is played on a starter stage through random (or if you want, just go Smashville). The losing team then announces the next person. The losing team can CP a stage, but if they do, the winning side may switch their character. Otherwise, they must stay the same character. All matches must be played on starters unless a CP is invoked.

It goes by stocks. JVs do no matter, if you beat someone and have 0% two stocks remaining, you start the next match with two stocks.

At least, that's how I remember them...you can make your own modifications to the rules.

Needless to say, don't waste your best players first...but don't save them until they become the only person left, lol.

I say JVs give you a stock back! :D

What about stage striking for the first game, between SV, PS1, BF, FD and YI?

And then for games after that, loser team picks a stage, but only from starters, and when they pick a CP, the winner team can switch characters. Sound fair?

But I do agree with writing your character down before the whole thing starts.

If you have to write your character down then Magiks cp game is limited and I dont ever want to play in a crew battle now.

I pretty much agree with RT's little setup.

No stock returns on JVs either. That's just stupid.

not true.

im in the rgv crew and i played him last week. id say he goes even with our best players, and if anything might just be a little better bc of the advantage MK gives lol.
When I said crew, I was talking about the people in the crew battle.

RT nailed it though

I would think everyone's mains would be obvious by now.

But, you could work it so that the incoming person from the losing team can change their character but loses their ability to CP a stage, since you're basically choosing a CP character.

Or you could be a REAL MAN and go random.

JVs are another of saying that you suck for not taking away your opponent's last stock five seconds earlier. :p

Your lack of respect for the JV ensures that failure is inevitable for you.

Oh I respect them, but in crews where stock counts matter, JVs are trash.

rules SHOULD be-

1. no strikes, all random neutrals on.
2. Crew leader assigns 1st player on paper and rest are decided by leader.
3. No jv awards. w/e the stock is that is your stock for next fight. only exceptions are kirby suicide, ddd, bowser and ganon.
4. losing crew pick a player and has the ability to either pick stage or go random after choosing their character. If random is chosen, winning crew player must not CP. However if a stage is chosen, they can elect to CP Character.
5. No pre-assigned character list.

is this agreeable?

no time, timing out would be to powerful in crews, especially since most of the time the stocks start off unequal

unless we add in the stocks that the player didnt have when the round started
