the hell you talking about?
I'm trying to make people realize that Pichu is underrated...

no, I don't think he's that underrated, but he certainly isn't worst in the damn game. thats obviously kirby or boozer (yes I know gimpyfish or w/e, but he was really just great at the game).

I'm also not against advancing the metagame at all, which you've said before...
I just think we were going about it the wrong way.

Ledgecanceling sideBs is interesting, but I don't see it being too practical, at least, its very situational. I'm not opposed to agility crap either, I just don't think it should be abused is all.
right now I'm working with Dorakis trying to do crap out of that because i think it opens up a lot of options for pichu from the ledge.

I can't find any good use from doraki jumping unless your doing a normal aerial. Specials are just there to make you feel good and your opponent feel bad. >;D

doraki jump has uses. back to the stage thunder being one of them. the thunder hits behind you, which leaves you less vulnerable and creates a wall between you and your opponent.

doraki jump is also better than a ledgehop for hitting opponents behind you because you keep your second jump when doing it, allowing you to do something else after (i.e. jolt -> nair from ledge)

You can do the offstage thunder without doraki jumping, plus Pichu's thunder has no real edgeguard capabilities. It racks up a little damage and puts them higher for a better recovery by the time you stop yelling your name.

And stupid Pichu stealing Pikachu's walljump, you guys suck ;-;

if it doesn't hit you you can smack them out of it lol. it sets crap up on FFers.
I've gotten usmash out of thunder before on fox...

and off stage thunder is dumb.

what i meant was doraki -> cancel with second jump back to stage -> thunder while in air
ledgehop thunder will hit pichu.

Does our moonwalk have an practical uses?

I sometimes use it to look fancy, but I've never figured out a way in which it could be used in actual play other than some fancy little mindgames...

I've seen D.Disciple (or maybe it was somebody else) use Pika's moonwalk to grab the ledge, but I think wavedashing is a better option.

whats the point of winning if you do it with a character you don't enjoy playing as?

I'd rather have fun loosing.

:/ hey now, I believe it's better to stick with and repeat your ideals then to give up on or change them.

I haven't trolled you.

to be honest, you are really cocky, and that irritates me.
I don't really know you at all, so I can't judge you as a person, but your posts tend to be obnoxious and condescending.
When you're t0mmy you have earned the right to be cocky. :awesome:

So I'm bored and my hate for the Pichu Boards has died down, so I might as well mess with Pichu a bit like how I'm figuring out Pikachu random shenanigans and techskill, is there anything specific ya'll unhappy pokemon want me to try to learn about, if not I'll maybe post my finds every week or so.

Anyways I saw an unanswered question by that lil Aesir guy, about pichu's moonwalk, you have to do a real moonwalk not that fake easy one, and you can't really call it a moonwalk same with pikachu(until I train my fingers to be godlike and I'll be pikawalking across the stage) and yes you can grab the edge too, all you do is get your walk up to full speed, don't dash, and right before you fall of the ledge, just flick the control stick back as if you were doing a moonwalk, it has to be at the corner angle and don't do the full moonwalk or else you'll most likely fastfall past the ledge.

Random question for other Pichu mains:

If you could change Pichu so he's a significantly more viable character (say, around Doc's level, maybe a bit higher), what changes would you make? Moveset-wise? Physics-wise?
I'm working on Pichu for a smash fangame and want to know what kinds of things to change so he's more usable.
Changes I've made so far for his moveset:
-Fair is now Iron Tail, a meteor smash.
-D-Special is Endure, gives Pichu a few frames of Super Armor. Works the same as Olimar's Whistle in Brawl.
-S-Special is now Flail. It deals more damage and knockback as Pichu's damage goes up.
-F-Throw is slightly different and has more knockback.
-Increased knockback on several moves, like D-Smash.

Any other ideas?

Honestly, Im fine with Pichu's Moveset, its his weights, he's so light that he dies at like 70.

I do like the ideas of Flail and Endure, though he doesnt actually learn flail in Pokemon :p)

Wouldnt be too bad if his attacks delt like an extra 1 or 2 percent.
Example, Pichu can Juggle like a behemoth, but each hit does 2%. If it did 4, thats a world of a difference.
