Old Pichu Meta-Game : Nair, Chain grab, U-Smash
New Pichu Meta-Game : Nair, Chain grab, U-Smash
Your Pichu Meta-Game : Nair, Chain grab, U-Smash
My Pichu Meta-Game : ICG's Little info tidbit's + T0mmy's Trickchu style + Agility Abuse

Also winning is everything in smash, either way you take it losing leaves a bad taste. While losing can be a motivator, Winning does it better because you only want to win more, and lose less. Endless cycles of losses ain't never fun even to a competitive player.

whats ur definition of success aesir god
right now, getting out of pools at a tournament.

Klubber, you've never seen me play.

thats like me saying, how klubber plays pichu: dairs rather than nair in all situations, try to look cool with agility and gets ***** for it, tries to get all kills with fsmash (resulting in people learning how to SDI out of it).

I think I have to point out that I'm teasing you, because you seem not to get that sometimes, please don't take that too seriously.

I like that we disagree about how one should use Pichu, it gives us stuff to talk about.

If you want me to give a little more in depth explanation of my playstyle, here you go:
I'm an aggressive player, I rarely camp or play defensively at all.
My main approach is Nair, why? Because its Pichu's best move for approaching. I Bair a lot too. Sometimes I'll use Fair or Dair as a grab setup. I rarely agility, because, in my experience, it doesn't work that well if over used.
I like to space with tilts a lot.
I still use Chaingrabs and techchases, but its not the main thing I do. I usually do some little combo then try to get a gimp.
More often than not, my kills are from gimps rather than usmash...
Unless against floaties.
I like usmash more for setting up combos at low percent, I also like upsmash OoS, its very nice.
and I have various tricksies that I use to set up kills/gimps every once in awhile.

I think I could count the number of actual pichu mains on one hand so that does really narrow it down to some people >_>

Anyways yall still need to incorporate swag bashing into your gameplay >w> Learn some gimmicks and shenanigans, they most definitely work at the dumbest of times.

Uair to waveland Upsmash to juggle/dair is sexy as hell(obviously on Yoshi's or Battlefield) otherwise Its even more difficult to perform.

Next tournament Im debating on using Pichu, I might as a CP, I really want to do well and I dont want to **** around.

@Klubber - fair enough, I guess I got a little defensive lol

@Soju - Its useful if you ledgecancel it into stuff... I might screw around with it a bit, but until i get it down, I'm not gonna use it much.

@Bing - good luck, try to get some videos of your pichu ^^

@Abu - why do you care how we choose to play? if you don't like Pichu and don't think anybody can win with him, then don't use him. But don't tell us that we have to play the game like you.

Clearly I was indicating that I wasnt sure If I wanted to use Pichu but If I do then its as a counterpick...

Pichu's a great CP character simply because like 10% of people have experience in the MU, so if you can effectively take advantage of this, its a smart CP.

we get many trolls who love to trash the place before they leave, and graffiti the walls with words such as "Pichu sucks", and "Pichu is bad" but it's brighten the walls so we don't bother to clean or paint over the words any more.
the worst character in the game?
hmm...not bad. Though you should add a bit of coloring to it, white text is so boring.

This is something that Melee has way better than Brawl, surprising people with bad characters.

In Brawl, low tiers are low tiers because they are beaten by very simple strategies. Having a pocket Ganondorf or whatever will just get you chaingrabbed/camped/etc... by any of his hard counters.

Then you look at Melee matches like Hack vs. Ice and it shows that Kirby is only bad against people who know how to abuse his weaknesses.

My Point exactly, Pichu's not my best character, but if my best character isnt doing the job, then I have options, my king in the sleeve...(not quite the ace ;-))

doraki jumping with pichu... I can't do it .-.
what is the timing?

I can do it with all da other wall jumping characters (that i've tried it with...)

is it not possible with pichu or something? or is the timing just really weird?

T0mmy seems to like to think he was the only pichu that mattered.
No Pichu player matters. :smirk:

But when I have fans fawning over me no matter which Smash event I go to in this nation I think I did something right. What have you done besides troll me?

I haven't trolled you.

to be honest, you are really cocky, and that irritates me.
I don't really know you at all, so I can't judge you as a person, but your posts tend to be obnoxious and condescending.

It's because there isn't enough happiness in this thread, but if there was happiness here this would evolve into a Pikachu thread.

So you guys are destined to be forever alone. :awesome:

Either that or you really like the B button

Oh yea, guys, ICG (and me too) have been messing around with Doraki jump edgeguards.

If any of you looked at ICG's Apex hype video you can see him doing Doraki thunders from the ledge.

I've been messing around with Doraki jolts and Doraki jolt -> nairs (they are kinda hard to time, but they are sexy as hell). I haven't been able to use them in actual play (yet), but I think it could kill a spacey trying to recover mid pretty easily.

I think it kills you everytime though... but not sure about that.
Doraki nairs are also good for intercepting recoveries.

about Doraki thunders:
I don't feel like that is the best use of it, because it leaves the ledge open still... It will stop somebody recovering mid or high though.
but if say, fox illusions and gets behind the thunder before it comes down, you're screwed.
