No it definitely applies before 2009. The tilt of the earth can't change THAT much in one (or even 20) years, lol. The earth is pretty huge. Astrologers just haven't been updating their ****.

I have a lot of old skool magic cards from like 10+ years ago. I can't believe people still play a card game I played when I was like 7. :0

Most fun deck I ran was probably Dragonstorm. Turn 4 baby. All them hellkites dealin' 5 to the dome. O u haz counterspell? good thing I gigadrowsed all your lands eot. ;]

I used to travel for magic card tournaments. I stopped playing about 8 months ago. It cost way to much money :/

Affinity isn't that scary, well not anymore. Back in the day oh boy was it busted.

I'll stick to my Bant, first standard deck I ever made.

I peruse the various midwest socials/pr's from time to time... lol

And I played Affinity back in the day when it was Type II legal. We had a pretty intense scene (North NJ, near NYC) with a number of the top players in the area. I used to go to regionals and **** for it but like whoever said it on the last page, it just got way too expensive. I quit Type II after Futuresight, and picked up legacy for a while during Zendikar. (since I already had just about everything for TES, Ichorid, and Affinity)

But yeah, on a long hiatus right now.
