Because other than /hope and maybe two or three sporadic events throughout the year it seems the only place anybody really host tournaments is in the Philly area, granted that's because a large chunk of PA smashers live there. I've tried finding a venue around here but the only place that would really work is only available to those living in the housing development it's located in.

I actually have to agree with xzax on this one. You guys want to stop not doing well? Do something about it. I'm not there most of the year to hold your hands in how to do that. Its up to YOU guys to organize yourselves. Organize smashfests, get togethers and practice sessions, etc. There's enough people in Pittsburgh to do it, so its just a matter of initiative. Also its ok if you want to host a tournament while I'm gone. I saw some people complaining theres only a couple tourneys in pittsburgh every year, usually 2 from me and sometimes one from carroll. Start looking into hosting some yourselves! It doesn't have to be a huge tourney unless you want them to be. Have bi-weeklies or something like that at someone's house, or find a good venue in the Pittsburgh area with cheap rates.

It's pretty hard to host anything when a scene is completely dead
I tried to host a smashfest in lancaster @ a friends house going through Millersville, Landisville, & White Horse. Only 4 new ppl showed up that's pretty damn bad going through 3 cities / towns.
& rent + school johns kill money so sorry some cant throw away $150 for a week to attend CLASH.
Im not sayin it's anybody's fault or it's anybody's responsibility to transport players to tournies im jus saying before ppl say "O well I travel so U should be able to do the same" think about it.

But anyon whio lives remotely close to philly can hit me up anytime if they tryna practice.

I woullda never been as good as i was if it wasnt for vex practice. and if people want id be willing to give out KT practice to whoever wants it. dont kno if its as good as vex practice tho.

i'd be up for running like bi-monthlies or something locally. i wouldn't go monthly right away cuz running tournaments really does drain you and it ends up wasting a whole weekend. friday becomes either training or sleeping to prepare, saturday all day is runnin the **** - and sunday i just wanna sleep, then i gotta be back at work - ****in sucks.

idk where i would ask around here. im sure you know better than me. let me know and we can start to get a deal together with someone, and then start planning on a first tournament and getting the hype around.

2nd I never denied philly being the best spot in PA, it jus sucks wen U guys talk down on us because of lack of experience or practice itself
