wait mav your tournaments have been in bars this whole time? good thing I'll be in state college this summer, I'll have to take megabus down ^_^

the planetarium was pretty sick, but my favorite venue is still slim's house

Its not a bar. It was built specifically as a venue hall for varying events. They incorporated that small bar into it for that purpose.

the fusion gaming center is really quite large. I could easily fit a 60 person tourney in there comfortably with tons of setups. I only end up using like an eighth of the store for each tourney because of attendance.

Really? I mean, all I did was stand in front of the place looking in and it just seemed like it was only a narrow-ish area of space. Is there another part of the place I didn't see?

it's a little narrowish, but it goes deeeep
the line of computers is only like 1/3 of the wall lengthwise, and depending on the attendance of a fusion tourney im basically able to take down all the comps, and set up tables everywhere else in the venue

Sounds like the LAN center that was used for the TYM series until it went out of business =(

It was a good venue too; all of the tvs were CRTs!

So I've been thinking about trying to host a tournament here in Shamokin in a few months but I'm not really sure how to go about doing so nor do I know how how the turnout would be. Anybody think they could help me out?

For those who don't know (probably all of you) Shamokin is about an hour and a half northeast of Harrisburg so it may not be in the best location :/

I beat him in winners finals 3-1. He came back in two sets in grands. First set was 3-1 him. Second set was 3-2 him(came down to last stock actually). So close T_T.

Main things I learned from it is I need to get better vs icies with fox and falco, and improve my mk. On his cps, he would cp me and go wario if I went mk(his wario>my mk) and go icies if I went fox/falco.
