I just got done reading. Aside from some grammar errors here and there it was fine.

Man I hope that we get a roleplaying sub-forum...
Could you post in that discussion as to what I can improve?

Me too. Again, the main thing now is to spread the word around the boards and get more people interested.

seriously, whoever said that OoT took them 10-12 hours their first time is high. I've been playing this game for like a week now and I'm only on the Forest Temple.

EDIT: how many skulltulla tokens does it take to 'break the curse' and get the wallet?

Sorry if I'm being rude but Cash, I think you kind of suck at Zelda. :ohwell:

Sorry, man, don't remember.

Check game faqs.

1. Yes, that was rude.
2. Maybe I do suck. This is my first LoZ game.
3. I haven't used a guide at all. And I'm trying to do most of the extra stuff.
4. My cousin took a year on this game and he was using a guide, so compared to him, I'm not doing all that bad.
5. Support instead of ridicule would help. :urg:

Yeah, it took me a long time on my first try. Just sit back and enjoy it.

How do you like it so far?

I wouldn't worry about "breaking the curse" yet. You'll find plenty of Gold Skulltulas as you continue through the game.

Oh, and Terywj, I pm'ed an edited version of the draft to you.

It's good and all, but it has to be one of the harder games I've played. So much to do, so much thinking lol.
Yeah, if Zelda is not taking you a long time, you're doing it wrong. Don't worry about rushing through it.

Lol finalark. Thanks?

Any of you guys play some of the lesser known zelda games? There's like over 10 different zelda games, right?

EDIT: Wow, there are 15 LoZ games, not including the up-coming Skyward Sword.
# Legend of Zelda
# Adventure of Link
# A Link to the Past
# Link's Awakening
# Ocarina of Time
# Majora's Mask
# Oracle of Seasons
# Oracle of Ages
# Four Swords
# Wind Waker
# F.S. Adventures
# Minish Cap
# Twilight Princess

I've played and beat AoL, OoT, MM, WW, MC, TP, PH, and ST. So mostly the newer games, thanks to the limited availability of the older ones. I've tried LoZ, but I haven't had the patience for it for me to actually sit down and beat it. So basically, I'm barely halfway there. Nintendo needs to step up its game with making the older games (outside OoT) available.

Cash, I would play Majora's Mask and then Wind Waker next. After you finish those, try a 2d Zelda like A Link to the Past.

Those 3 + Ocarina are my favorites.

By the way, don't worry if the game is hard. You'll slowly get used to how Zelda games work, don't worry.

@Kingdom Come: Lol no.

Thanks werekill. Ya, I'm very new to LoZ.

Thankfully, I do have a guide for Majora's Mask. I gave it to my cousin so he could beat it, but amazingly, he's stuck. Good thing I have the guide for that game - I hear that one is hard and confusing.

No problem, lol.

Yeah, I would use a guide for MM, but just use it as a basic "go to this room next" kind of thing and don't use it to solve all of the puzzles.

Ya, I kinda gathered that. Lol.

Any1 played LoZ: Four Swords Adventure, and if so, what did you think of it? It sounds really good. But I'm not sure if I'll buy it just yet.

I've played all of them. But as for the ones I've actually beating they'd be...

- LoZ 1
- ALttP
- LA
-OoT
-MM
-WW
- TP

Just kind of throwing this out there:

After OoT you should try TP. No, ignore the raging fanboys, it's actually a really good game. ALttP was also really good and if you want to try 2D Zelda go there but note that it's old and some of it's game play will probably feel aged. Wind Waker was also a lot of fun but you may rage at a particular money-eating creeper near the end of the game.

As for MM... well, it's awesome but it's also pretty hard (for a LoZ game) and it is fairly different from the rest of the games in the franchise.

I didn't really like it, but I didn't play it much.

Play the other games I mentioned! Those are easily some of the best games from the Zelda series.

If you have some friends who are equally interested and four GBA's plus the cords to connect to the cube, go for it. It's a ton of fun with the right group.

So it's four player co-op then? If you're playing by yourself, do the other links control themselves?
No, they all follow you in a group and you can change formations with the C-stick if my memory is correct.

I might be off, though. It's been years since I last played the game.

No love for The Minish Cap? :(

We should try to actually finish FSA sometime; I think we went into it a bit biased.

I'll do a list later, lol.

Maybe we were, but overall I do consider it one of the worst Zelda games, even though it's still a really good game. TMC is great, but it's not as good as the games I have listed above it IMO.
