First of all, keep that **** to yourself man. Secondly, with Luigi you should only be backward-rolling backward-tossing your glide tosses. Since they're both the same direction, just use A since its easier to time perfectly. Just roll backward, then just as he starts to roll, press A.

I haven't played brawl in over a month. I wonder how my Luigi's gotten. Not worst ever, though.

I'm bad because I don't have any experience against our hardest matchups, save Marth, and I would more than likely get 301st out of 300 at a big tournament ;D

**** that **** dude, ****ing **** that mother****ing ****. If we meet in a tourney like that, l'll ****ing cut your **** off if you say that. Myself on the other hand got last place cus l got knocked out by 2 lucarios, all of em were last hit last stock game 3. I went all luigi in first round winners and then l went all marth in losers and still got my **** wrecked. But l still kept going because my mentality was still on its peak point, the moment you lose in winners and you lose your morale, is the moment you ****ing lose the tourney w/o even playing losers. I just told myself l'll have to work hard in losers bracket, but l still lost to a last hit game 3. I trained at ppls houses for like a week or 2, trained my positive mindset and still lost. And l lost to fsmash/roll spam. But no johns. usually l john about choking/getting nervous but l don't.


when you look at it, luigi can't survive in high level play. I'm ****ing working my *** off trying to get that one move to kill em, to win the whole set and to get food and take a piss after. Jesus ffs. I spammed my bair at least 20 times too.

But, I guess one can't quit after all this time. Switching to another character will just put us Luigi mains back to square one. All we can do is push on and hope for the best, right?

Hey guys, seriously, how do you land F-smash?

Probably the one thing that's holding back my Luigi is that I really have no idea how I'm supposed to land this attack easily. It has so little range, and it is quite slow for how little range it has (which annoys me when I try to land it out of shield).

So anyhow, from my understanding, the best way to land this attack is to intercept an approach that wasn't expecting an Up-tilted F-smash to hit from that particular angle, but this is incredibly difficult if the opponent has more range than you, meaning that you have to be looking for a misspace.

Spotdodge F-smash sounds like it can work on laggier moves, but usually if I spotdodge something, D-smash and Up-B usually seem to be better options for me (D-smash for damage and speed, Up-B for KOs obviously).

Jab F-smash might work on someone if they aren't expecting it, but it's blockable.

I've tried charging sliding F-smashes, which is ok sometimes, but doesn't have the same speed as that sliding Up-smash (which you can do out of dash).

D-tilt F-smash can work as long as they trip. Then the problem is just landing D-tilt...which I guess I can do alright on spotdodge. If I don't Up-B instead.

Any other ideas? I'd like to hear them no matter how matchup specific they are.

It's an unreliable move but if it's an extremely dangerous punisher ;V

The only time I actually use F-smash is punish. Normally, I go for an Up-B early. Otherwise, I just go for a N-air more mid-high damage kills.

Hey guys, seriously, how do you land F-smash?

when they are landing sh fireball + buffered fsmash (my favorite)
predicting the roll when they get up + fsmash
jab + fsmash
punishing laggy attacks
ps + fsmash (marths sh fair, dks bair)
dthrow + predict airdodge + fsmash

all those are the up angled one...

and sometimes i just spam the broken upangled fsmash really fast

Spam that ****. When you spam the fSmash, 40% of the time it works all the time.

For fsmash, ive started to use the regular one more then uptilted, has more range and kills almost as early too.

Marth is hard, as we all know, but unwinnable? I say no to that. I played one the same skill level as me today and won by a hair...not unwinnable if you ask me -_-. But I suck, what do I know.

Although I haven't played the super-high level Marths... every time I play someone better than me and he chooses Marth, I always do better. Someone could own me real hard with Samus, Peach, Falco, or whatever, and then they choose Marth and I destroy them or win by a hair. And if they're super better than me, I manage to get only 1-stocked as opposed to *****.

I think Luigi's fine against Marth. Yeah, Marth's fast, has excellent range, and his attacks come out lightning-quick. But he's a pansy off-stage and a breeze to gimp. PSing destroys him too.

Really, I see so many Luigi's try to recover against Marth the wrong way and get KOd by his fAir WoP or Dolphin Slash... c'mon guys! That's like the most predictable thing.
