Here’s a Classic Mode route I came up with:
Terry Bogard: Mark of the Beasts (Rules: 150 HP battles, all Omega, Time Limit is 1:30)
Stage 1: :ultdk::ultivysaur: on :distantplanet: (Jungle Level Ver. 2 (Brawl))
Stage 2: :ultcharizard::ultridley: on :castlesiege: (Area 1--Dragon Spirit)
Stage 3::ultduckhunt::ultdiddy: on New Donk City Hall (The Wild Boy from Downtown)

Bonus Stage: Home Run Contest

Stage 4: :ultwolf: on Great Plateau Tower (Sagat Stage Type B)
Stage 5: :ultkrool: on :npc: (Raiden the Brave)
Stage 6: Goemon :ultswordfighter: w/Swimming Cap on :eldin: (London March)

Bonus Game: Race to the Finish

Boss: :ultbowser:--then Giga :ultbowser:(Geese ni Kissu)--on Suzaku Castle

This whole Blizzard/Hong Kong fiasco really makes me hope SNK doesn't do what Blizzard did if they were put into a similar position. A big part of me thinks that they actually would though since they are partially a Chinese owned company and a big chunk of their profits are from there.

Yeah, that would be a bit depressing. though, no use worrying about it unless it ends up happening.

People are saying that Terry's Final Smash will be his Buster Wolf, but if I'm gonna be honest, I wanna have Buster Wolf and Power Geyser being some sort of pseudo-Final Smash move that can only be performed with inputs while his Climax Desperation Move, Star Dunk Volcano, should be his Final Smash. Having complex Super inputs could further differentiate Terry from the likes of Ryu and Ken in Smash Bros, while making it feel rewarding when you pull it off. But if that's the case, then he's going to have to have a meter like a good chunk of the fighters in Smash like Robin, Cloud, Joker etc. At least with Terry, it would be a much different usage then the others.

Since it's a monthsary after Terry's reveal, here are some of my takes:

1. We might probably get the most Spirits and songs in the game. I'm feeling the Sakurai bias in this.

2. In terms of reaction videos, the best ones were JaviWario's and the KirbyGCN17 (aka the Store) reaction. Worst one is from SuperGirlKels, as much as I love her, her reaction drew the ire of the SNK fangirl in me.

So I’ve dived into the lore of Fatal Fury to learn as much as I can about Terry and , we’ll... everyone.

By watching the Fatal Fury OVAs (And then the movie, and then the KOF movie(s?).)

So far I’m really enjoying them. I enjoyed Fatal Fury 2 more than 1, since I expected so much more out of the fight against Geese. But it was still awesome. Tonight I go for OVA #3.

One thing I’ve always loved about KOF more than SF is how meaty the story of KOF is (or seems to be) for a fighting game. Meanwhile SF doesn’t offer much in terms of story unless you complement it with the mangas.

So in a really short span of what I’ve seen and played, Terry is way more interesting to me than Ryu and Ken. And this coming from someone who was obsessed with SF as a kid, and consider myself a casual KOF player today.

I guess I just felt like ranting a bit about Terry cause he’s awesome.m, and can’t wait for his release day.

That's great!

Highly recommend KoF Destiny. On the first half of it it's focused on Terry as a whole, so it's a treat for Smash fans.

The KOF CGI anime series is available on SNK's YouTube and is an awesome way to experience an original KOF story that hits some familiar beats, including Terry's history with Geese. It has some shocking adult scenes though so be careful.

Definitely agree.

It may not be 100% accurate, but at the very least, it's a treat for everyone, including the new fans joining over from Smash.

Oh thanks for the info! Guess I have something to watch every night now!
Maybe this retelling will live up to my original hype. I’ll tackle that one after these ovas.
Oh, lucky that I’m an adult then. But thanks for the warning!
Can’t wait to get there.

Awesome! Yeah I’m trying to watch them in chronological order. But after the ones I watched already, I feel like I can’t get enough of FF/KOF stories.

Oh and KOF Destiny is on my list now, thanks again!

Well in terms of Terry's moveset, we have seen Neutral B and Side B. Going by how Mr Sakurai may design him, Up B is probably going to be Rising Tackle and Down B would most likely be Power Geyser while his Final Smash is probably going to be Buster Wolf. Up Smash could be Crack Shoot, Down Smash could be his shoulder barge attack and his forward smash could be power dunk. He will most likely have inputs like Ryu and Ken excluding the medium and will have a meter he will fill by dealing and taking hits which will power up his stats and a single attack

He HAS inputs, the footage confirmed it. Also I kinda think Rising Tackle will be an up air with Power Dunk being used as a recovery

Yep oops sorry. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't inputs confirmed as he crouched just before performing burn knuckle. And I'd rather him not have riding tackle as an up air because there are quite a few up airs like that already but if it was an up b it would automatically be a unique attack. Off the top of my head there is joker, greninja, shiek, Seamus, dark samus and possibly more

Not only that, but if you slow the footage down you see 2 flash effects, one is from Marth's Shield Breaker and the other is the same flash Ryu and Ken have when you correctly input the commands for a special move

That's cool then. Its really cool how correctly sakurai portrays the characters in smash as a 2.5d perspective. It's like your playing their games in a sense and with how correctly the characters have been portrayed thus far, Terry will most likely be no exception

What sort of gimmicks will Terry's stage have? I don't see them just making it a simple flat plane stage. Maybe it'll change like Coliseum/Pokemon Stadium or the characters in the background will help out.

They could add a lane switching mechanic like in Fatal Fury. If the devs can pull off Spiral Mountain’s rotation, they can do this too.

My take? It's ASSIST TROPHIES/STAGE BOSSES: the stage.

The point here is that whenever you turn on Assist Trophies, instead of the built-in Assist Trophies in the game, the stage will spawn its own Fighter Trophies. When used, they can summon a random KoF Fighter to assist them in battle. Often times, there will be a special boss trophy (either Geese, Rugal, Goenitz, Igniz etc) that deals massive damage and it is up to the players to beat said boss.

These two ideas sound amazing. I didn't think about the gimmick for Terry's stage. Maybe special trophies or a lane switching mechanic would be too much work, but I definitely expect something new coming with the stage.

I think we could see hazards-on having plenty of cameos, but also a Pokemon Stadium-esque switching between different types of stadiums from the series. Or hey, maybe it'll be totally crazy and have solid walls with no walk off. Bizarre and unusual but not impossible.

Those are all great ideas. Would be cool having other fighters tagging along and challenging the players. Maybe similar to how Magicant handles the Flying Men?

And changing locations is something I always want to see regardless of the character.

-
Say, what if we got a victory message from terry for every Fighter?

Like for example:
*Beats Hero. Victory theme sounds
Terry: “Hey man, you can’t just blank out in the middle of a fight. Everytime you do, you’re left wide open!”

*Beats Lucina
Terry: “Hey, lighten up a little, lady! Fights are supposed to be fun!”

*Beats Lucas
Terry: “Hey, Kid, I’m sorry if I was too hard on you. Are you okay?”

Don’t know if I’m getting his personality right...

(Would be even better if it’s a custom victory screen where they’re all drawn SNK 2D style. Or at least just Terry).

Heads up lads, Nintendo recently tweeted this:

Given the timing, we'll most likely know of his release date soon enough, if it's not after the last week of October.

Wondering if the KoF stage is gonna have the same irony that Suzaku Castle did where it's not legal in tournaments despite coming from a competitive fighting game lol

That said, I love the idea of the fighters in the background stepping in to help as the stage gimmick. That was a whole mechanic, wasn't it? Where your standby fighters in your tag team could step in?

I do have an idea for his classic route. Terry, along with Little Mac and Captain Falcon as Smash Team, faces of a team of 3 of their homeland similar to KOF. It'll be a 3-3 Squad Strike with stamina and timer and stages will be in FD form.

Here's the other teams I've come up with:
Super Mario Team: Mario, Peach, and Bowser
Legend of Zelda Team: Link, Sheik, and Ganondorf
Kirby Team: Kirby, Meta Knight, and King Dedede
Pokemon Team: Pikachu Libre, Incineroar, and Lucario
Fire Emblem Team: Marth, Chrom, and Robin
and Street Fighter Team: Ryu, Ken, and Mega Man
The final boss will be Dracula as a kin to Rugal in KOF

No fear
"Terry didn't always have Buster Wolf so imagine if Sakurai chose not to give him that so he can purely focus on the original Fatal Fury"
One fear
Good thing Ken's Final Smashes are from MVC and SFIII rather than Super SFII Turbo.

Terry without Buster Wolf (and "are you okay?")? If that happens I will be angry lol

Maximilian Dood is doing a Terry Legacy series of videos now, which should be fun (and judging from his experience with Fatal Fury 1) funny.

No, it's like a kendo match where a player keeps a character until they die with health returning to the character in small amounts between rounds. The meter cap also increases by one for each character KO'd (Up to 5 bars). The reason they're standing there is to help with the atmosphere, they react when you hit the opponent, get hit by the opponent, lose to the opponent, and win against the opponent. It gives off the tournament vibe really well and I hope it comes back for XV.

That being said, KoF XI was a tag team fighter and the only numbered KoF game to feature that mechanic. Also in KoF 94 you can't tag team and you can't even choose characters from two separate teams. However when you're fighting against Rugal and by some miracle manage to stun him, his panther will jump out from the background and attack you leaving Rugal just enough time to recover, which is probably the most on-brand thing I've seen for Rugal.
KOF ALL STARS RELEASES TOMORROW
Already got it downloaded, just about 4 more hours. Hopefully enough people pre-registered for the free 5*, but if they didn't Yuri is cool too.
Here's the link to pre-register if anyone interested hasn't yet: https://kofallstar.netmarble.com/en/preorder

Got it, downloaded it already, and am genuinely enjoying it.

Baseball Yuri's gonna carry me harder than the Brave Lucina I pulled when I started FEH.

Game has a reroll event where you can keep rolling until you get what you want without needing to spend anything between rolls, which is pretty. This is on top of the gems and free 5* selector they give you at the start, surprised that we got so many pre-registrations for the reward, 1.5 million.

For the people playing the game, who did you choose for the 5*? I chose Shermie personally.

Had to go with my girl King! I have Team Women Fighters as my main three (King, Baseball Yuri, Mai) with Terry, Ryo, and Andy as my strikers respectively.

I'm shocked at how fun this game is! It legit looks good and I love that we'll be getting more and more KOF characters as the weeks go on. I saw Kula in the intro and an unlockable Ash image. I'm hoping we get the Tekken crossover worldwide too. Excited for more teams to be added (though I can't lie, it was great seeing Lucky again).
