It sure makes it more pleasurable to watch

I think I'll take pride in the fact that I didn't notice. Something tells me that I shouldn't, though. Probably going to re-watch to confirm (also since it's really good).

Some really thoughtful and passionate people are making this show. They created a beautiful world in The Last Airbender, and what's really exciting about Korra is that they're not messing with it: it looks like pure advancement. It's Aang's world in the future, with cars and skyscrapers, freaking metal-bending police. We have so much more to see.

We haven't even met Mako and Bolin.

I'm dying. I'm going to die.

My only fear is that it might still have some of the storytelling problems TLA did. TLA was admittingly a little tropish, the characters acquired skills and friends very linearly. Korra has the three elements down, so it's going to be less of a preset journey, but it's looking like a superhero show. And that makes me nervous. But, it's also making socio-political commentary; I'm not really nervous. It's going to be mature and it's going to ask deeper questions people wouldn't expect from a kid's show. Kinda Xmen-y, which is good.

Also the soundtrack is sex. "Jazz if it where invented in China" - ****ing genius.

Watch the first episode yesterday It was fantastic. I am so excited for April now. The soundtrack is pretty good. I am really digging the music during the chase scene that started at like 17:20ish It reminded me of Baccano!

I miss Azula too - we haven't met the ridiculous character yet. We haven't met anyone really. Tenzin and Lyn are my favorite so far. Having adults is refreshing - especially since it never forgets it's a cartoon. THE FACES IN THIS SHOW

That first episode was SOOOO good! I still remember the exact moment when I first watched the very first episode of The Last Airbender... Watching the intro for The Legend of Korra 7 years later nearly brought a tear to my eye. Greatest childhood cartoon series ever.

I'm really going to miss a lot of the past characters, but at the same time I'm looking forward to the new ones. Korra, Tenzin, and Lyn all seem awesome in their own ways.

From the way people described Korra early on, I felt as if I wouldn't like her. But the first episode definitely changed my opinion. I can't wait to see more characters get involved :D
