And they never even explained what was up with him.

i mean, these powers are really simple, but the thought and creativity that can go behind them is endless. i mean, this is real world nature that the benders deal with. it's not crazy or wonky stuff, and there's not too much variety, like what we see in other super power comics like x-men and other marvel stuff, or manga like naruto and one piece

Hm, so after visiting the wiki page...seems like this show isn't due to air until mid 2012...that's just great. Though they said they plan to make it darker with an addition of "cheesy teen romance".

btw, the few pics of Korra...she looks like she's been hitting the gym. Wouldn't wanna mess with her.

I'm trying to think of any other special cases like him throughout the show and I can't come up with anything.
Ty lee is the closest thing but her powers had to do with chi and that had a somewhat prominent role in the series even without her.

I liked Jet's style of fighting A LOT, now that I think about it. He was very fluid, and very dynamic. Mai was kinda....stationary-ish, if that makes any sense. Ty Lee was pretty beast, too, though.

i wanted to see some non firebending hadoukens. or airbending esque sonic booms.

That soon, and they're thinking about releasing them in 2013? I don't think Nickelodion is very wise, especially with so many people aware of Legend of Korra.

I also hear that none of the original characters from The Last Airbender will be returning, save for maybe flashbacks.

99% sure the actual production is done though.
As far as I know there's no solid reason for the delay yet.

Nah, multiple sources have said it might be delayed until 2013. And a staff member has said it's been delayed because of "special projects" or something like that, but didn't give an exact date. Really the release date right now could be anything from early 2012 to sometime in 2013.

We'll just have to wait for an official announcement I guess.

I wonder how people assumed so much over a might? Its definitely coming out in 2012. It was delayed cuz of them putting in a 2nd season. If its delayed all the way to 2013 then they better have about 5 seasons ready for broadcast...

Of course it'd be airing right now if there wasn't a delay. What I was also saying is that if it is being delayed till 2013, they'd make an official announcement about it. If we don't hear something soon, they'll probably break the news next year then.
