The original PS3 had the PS2 chipset, so it played EVERY PS2 game. They took it out to cut costs because people complained about the 500 and 600 dollar price tags.

I only ask because XBox 360's backwards compatibility is half-a$$ed and doesn't work with every game. I didn't know if PS3's was the same way.
Well I'm visiting family Saturday evening, so I'll be out of commission, and I know Waffle is going to a PA tourney on Saturday. So I'm not really sure how this weekend is gonna work. You're back in your dorm now right?

More like I woke up at 3 and couldn't sleep afterwards. I kinda wish I had busted out DQ9 though instead of quickly checking the boards and then fruitlessly staring at the ceiling for 2 hours.

Did u guys happen to get any of the legacy boss maps passed around @ Best Buy or Gamestop? I want them really badly. I've got Baramos Murdaw and Dhoulmagus and I know you can get the DragonLord or w/e from beating the last grotto boss, but...the other maps involve waiting for DLC for monthssss. I really wanna fight those guys...I hear zoma = death even @ level 1. sounds fun.

Well, no.
Due to the tuition skyrocketing and my family having financial troubles this past summer, I'm a commuter for at least this semester. Though, from the looks of the housing situation, I'll be a commuter next semester too.
You see, Stevenson decided to add a football team to their roster of sports. They're a division 3 school, and can't hand out sports scholarships, so they've been handing out leadership scholarships, which they then classify as academic. This has led to a massive influx of people coming into Stevenson this year, some of them not too smart(average gpa of the football team is 1.8 apparently). They're accepting students like wildfire because the school is apparently losing money. They accepted so many students, in fact, that they have to house some of them at the nearby hotel because there isn't room for them on campus to live.
And that's the situation(and why I now hate this school).

The only other game I've enjoyed on my ps3 this year was MW2 but thats on every system. GoW3 was amazingly short. I am enjoying scott pilgrim vs the world video game....it reminds me so much of river city ransom on so many levels.
But PS3 is coming out with some good games(hopefully) this fall
As far as RPGs are concerned, stick to handhelds.

Funny thing is despite all the times I've been in MD, I haven't experienced either one.

QFT. I wish they would make more RPGs like DQ9, oldschool and just plain fun. Really looking forward to the next Golden Sun, and DQX which will be on the Wii.

I am going to a CD release party in Clarksville. I'm sure there wouldn't be a problem with you going, but it is a Christian Music CD (fair warning). The people who did it go to Grace Fellowship in Westminster.

I was the one who she first found on MySpace 5 or 6 years ago. Despite hours of talking to her and setting up things to do, she has shown up in person to things for a grand total of 2 hours (spread over 4 seperate meetings).
I knew she was no longer dating someone because she has IM'ed me 3 times this week.

Games get slept on cause they are bad.....mw2 was great for multiplayer and the single player was great but short.
Demon's soul looked rather boring.....I can't remember what else was good on the ps3 this year.....

Psychonauts got slept on, and it was great. Gunstar Heroes got slept on, and it was great too.

I can think of quite a few amazing games that went under the radar. Metals Arms, Cave Story, Little Ninja Brothers, The Warriors, Shadow of the Colossus, TA Spring, Lufia 2, Earthbound, every Dragon Quest, a bunch of other JRPGs that were never officially released here ... the list goes on.

The coop missions were really cool.
But yeah, KSes and bad maps kinda ruined the multiplayer. Still fun, but MW was better.

meh, there wasn't really anything good about the co-op. Treyaarch did a better co-op job than IW, a WAY better job. Nazi zombies > MW2s anything

So M@v didn't come to the PA tournament so I couldn't do that dragonquest sidebet, so we altered it. The agreement was if I got top 3 I would get it, and i got 3rd, so looks like i'll be using that money with my gamestop card for DQ9...
