made it to the place where metal king slimes are supposed to appear but apparently they are rare as ****.

ps - xp for killing 3 liquid metal slimes as a level 47 = 45810

Legacy bosses are different. You give them XP so they level up. They get harder and give better loot. Level 99 legacy bosses are the toughest challenge in the game.

My house will be empty all weekend. DQ9/PM fest anyone?

I have this awesome idea...

Let's rename the crew DQ9 Presents: The Imperial Legion!

I think it would be more fitting than "MD/VA Hack Crew".

Brett, BWW wednesday at 5ish? Or Tuesday at 5ish? I can't hang after because I'm meeting my bro for the gym or he can come eat with us and we'll go afterward. Let me know if you are interested, and I will see what I can do. If he puts up a ***** fit about not going at 5pm, then we can do it after I get out of the gym.

^^ Anyone else down for this?

@Bandit: I'd prefer Wednesday just for the legs.

@TH: Food + half the parking + half the gas comes to roughly $55. I'll eat the tolls since you drove. Lucky we "skipped" the venue fee ;)

Cool, I was wondering about the gas prices myself :p. I'll have the money next time we see each other.

@ Waffle: As much as I would really love to go to that concert, I do need to be a little more careful with my money for a few more pay periods, so that's not an option for me atm. I'd be down for some DQ9/PM on Sat though.

Or I could just come up on Wednesday, and you and JCz + whoever else wants to check it out can go concert-ing on Sat. Still lets me fill my weekly legion quota, gets me super cheap food (in tandem with watching my money XD), and doesn't let me be a party pooper for whoever wants to check that out.

TH I forgot about the hotel :ohwell: That's $40 more. Sorry about that. I guess this trip was more expensive than I thought.

Let's just chill at my house this weekend. It's halfway between you guys (more or less) and it'll be empty as of Saturday morning, and it's the cheapest option.

Count Kaiser/Guy/Tant, anyone wanna get DQ9 and be our 4th?

Edit: TH, can you send me all the replays from Apex on your Wii? Just copy them to your SD card and they'll be in the "rp" folder, so take that folder and upload it to Mediafire or Megaupload or something. The dates are in the filenames. Should be from 8/6 and 8/7.

I'll consider it unless June wants to team at Bristow, in which case I'll go to bristow, because I can stay at june's house and practice all night lol

I have a $20 gamestop gift card so if june doesn't want to team then i'll stay home and pick up DQ9

My brother is throwing a major ***** fit (as expected), so I can go to BWW after the gym. Probably looking at 7pm instead of 5pm.

At least we get to watch the Orioles play (they are good now... sort of...)

Alright, but try to find out soonish, because it would be nice if you could progress through the game and level up a bit before we play together this weekend.

That's fine.

Going to the gym tonight as well I assume?

I'm fine with the concert, and I'm always down for DQ9/P:M.

Btw, what level is everyone's main character in DQ9? I want to see where I stand, as I am, as of writing this, a level 42 sage.

I'm pretty sure all of our mains are in the 50s-60s right now. You'd be fine though, if a bit soft. I recommend leveling up to 15 or 18 in every vocation with your main. It's quick and easy and will earn you a bunch of skill points you can spend on whatever you need help in, like agility and HP.

You know the Bowhole trick for leveling up right?
1. Go to B4
2. Go back up the stairs to B3
3. Stand in the corner immediately to your right
4. Vanish (optional)
5. Watch as monsters constantly spawn and leave every 10 seconds or so
6. Wait for Liquid Metal Slimes
7. ???
8. Profit

If you wanna roll with us through the epic grotto we got from Malcom, try to get up to lvl 50 or so, and make sure you have plenty of agility and a Meteorite Bracer so you can heal us before we get wiped the **** out by the Uncommon Cold's bull**** breath attacks.

@ JCz: Man I'm dumb, I can't believe I forgot that either despite being by and large the most expensive part of the trip. I might end up doing a 60/35 split just to be sure I have enough to get by before the next pay period. $200 should be enough to get by for 2-3 weeks.

Edit: now that I actually looked at my bank account, I can probably work with the full amount at once. It'll be tricky, but doable.

Kaiser get your dude to level 45 at least. You learn Kazing then. Level 48 would be incredible though, because you get Kaboom for crowd control.

I'm pretty sure now you guys have put as much if not more hours into this game than I have into FFXIII (and in a much shorter time period).

Hmm, maybe. Lemme check...

94 hours and counting. 42 in multiplayer. So that's only 52 hours playing as antisocially as FF13.

I have never once skipped out on doing something social just to play DQ9. I know that ain't true for you.

Actually, it was only assumed I skipped being social to play FFXIII. I actually skipped that because I was doing stuff with my brother that evening when he got back from vacation.

Rumor debunked! Plus, I have around 75 hours total in it though I haven't played in over a month.

Well I'm assuming he's not in post-game yet.

You don't have Sage yet? wtf? It's not that hard.

You know what? How about a bonfire Saturday night at my house? Well, I don't have a fire pit, but I do have one of those metal thingies that you can make a fire in. And lawn furniture (not for burning, for sitting on). I think I still have most of the leftover smores stuff, just gotta get new chocolate.

Chuck, are you free Saturday night? Kiki can come too. And your bro. And whoever else.

Not sure. I am going to her baptism/church picnic/pool party on Saturday and her friend is coming down from NY state at some point probably for it as well. I should know more soon since the only thing I know is it starts at 2:30pm.

It's probably the levels of his other chars. The higher they are, the more xp they siphon away. But yeah, 1-12 seems really low for 4 LMSes.
