Cmart, I have your external. If you are going to be hanging out with JC tomorrow, I can give it to him if I am not going to be there or bring it if I am.

Actually that's perfect, because I forgot that a mutual friend of mine and Adam's is holding a party on Saturday, which rules it out. I'll text you tomorrow with a time to come over tomorrow, most likely at 5ish since Adam gets back home at around 7 and we can take care of whatever DBZ stuff we need to before then.

eventually I plan on playing with you guys again.. P:M is too fun.

wolf was wildly addicting!
I agree...wolf is so much fun to play from a spacey perspective. I too would like to experiment more with his combos.

I played with the legion at a big fest they had awhile back, and I immediately chose wolf to see how he played, and it was pretty beautiful. He felt just like I'd imagine he would play out like. <3. Waiting on that updated demo with him hopefully on it lol

i thought wolf was really hard to contain. either that or i really suck vs dsmash spam. either way my answer to him is to sheik downthrow a lot until the player gets hit by what I refer to as "The Great Sadness".

DBZ talk for Max. tl;dr to just post it normally

[COLLAPSE="DBZ talk"]Max, I calculated the amount of damage I would have done with that one turn in the DBZ match. Excluding natural power level brackets, I still would have beaten you even if you had a full deck.

I had out:

~Trunks Finds the Answer (would have pulled two Trunks Sword Position 3s)
~Orange Style Mastery (+2 power stages to all physical attacks. I don't think I got the Orange attack bonus for it)
~Orange Joint Restraint Drill (+4 power stages to all physical attacks)
~x2 Gohan's Swordplay Drills (+2 power stages to all "sword" attacks)
~x2 Trunks Swordplay Drills (+2 life cards to all "sword" attacks)

And 2 Trunks Sword Slices in my hand (+4 physical attacks which I would've used to search for 2 Focused Sword Strikes, a +3 physical attack)

you were 2 power levels above zero I believe, I was full.

So...

~Trunks Sword Slice would do 18 power stages and 4 life cards, translating into 2 power stages and 20 life cards
~And again would do 22 life cards of damage
~Focused Sword Strike would do 13 life cards (no proc from Trunks Swordplay Drills)
~And again for another 13 life cards
~Trunks Finds the Answer for two Trunks Sword Position 3s
~Trunks Sword Position 3 for 12 life cards of damage (no proc from Orange Mastery nor Orange Joint Restraint)
~and again for another 12 life cards

In total that would be 92 life cards. True that would not include your Endurance cards, but that's also not including the natural power stage damage you would've been taking (I'm fairly you would take 8 life cards at 0 from me naturally with a physical attack on the old chart, but not sure about the new chart. New charts I'm sure you would take +1 stage from the first Trunks Sword Slice since we should be in the same bracket, but I'm not sure how many extra I'd be doing to you at 0). If that didn't outright kill you, it would probably leave you in a position that you couldn't recover from.

But yeah all of that could have been avoided if you had kept even one of your block alls :p[/COLLAPSE]

lmao it's all good. i have endurance on my cards but not that much anyway so you can consider it irrelevant. i just played like an idiot. the pain felt so good lol.

i'll try to look up the rules online so we have something better to work with than "distant memory rules" lol we'll rematch and i'll cover dinner next time you're free.

League talk for TH:

[collapse="League Talk"]17/13/15 game with Annie. It was so freakin' sloppy at one point Amumu and I aced the entire team by ourselves. We ended up winning after the the two spanish players stopped typing to each other and started playing. Amazing how well you play when it isn't 5v3.

I got owned mid by a Lux. There's a reason you run mid for our group.[/collapse]

Sorry there wasn't a Sonic TCG back in the day.

Pokemon and DBZ TCGs were the **** though, and I've always had a lingering curiosity about Magic. YuGiOh was pretty cool too.
Magic is less balanced that the DBZ card game overall and it can be intimidatingly expensive, depending what you want to do. But it's probably more fun to play overall, players are ****ing everywhere, and you can do literally whatever you want. If you want to try it sometime, I'll show you a bit more.

Sure, I'd be interested in learning. Though I might have to take the JCz route since I'm already kinda strapped for cash as is.

Also Bandit, Twisted Fate was picked WCG and ***** face again, so there was naturally a reaction thread saying TF shouldn't be buffed. But I came across this little tidbit posted yesterday from the lead balance developer regarding TF.

TWISTED FATE BUFFS INCOMING NEXT PATCH!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. If you thought I carried you guys before...

Watch it be like a .05 increase to Wild Cards or a 1 movement speed increase though just to spite me.

his way of learning is actually a very good one, because if you choose to invest the actual money into the game later, at least you know you're satisfied with your purchase. i've switched decks many times and it gets expensive. hindsight 20/20 i guess. but i also have a lot of really good trade fodder. i'll probably print out a deck with you and we can start there.

edit: I'm also randomly posting a lot in the project m thread. you should read my posts so you can make fun of them later. i tried to cut down on the sodium content lol

Already read them, and it's causing quite a ****storm in places you can't see :p. But I already have so much ammo when you say that spacies outright suck in P:M and that Falco > Fox despite all of Fox's stats being even or strictly better than Falco's other than dair/fsmash/laser. I might have to concede dtilt as well, but it's such a situational move in the first place for both characters that I'm not sure if I'd really want to include that.

I did figure out why Fox's double jump is ****ed though, stage collision detection issues have been ****ing with not only his double jump but a lot of other character's as well. So your assessment on that was spot on (aside from the obvious pause which proved your point anyway :p).

EDIT: Bandit, patch preview's out

http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=1579042

Those Twisted Fate changes seem small, but holy **** they make a world of difference. Depending on how much the range is increased, AD Twisted Fate would become viable!

Falco is still REALLY good, and Fox is...less good than Falco. But yeah the second jump above the stage is HUGE for those characters.

This game isn't about move stats, it's about what you can and can't do. Even if you only have 1 option, as long as your opponent doesn't have any, you will come out ahead in that isolated exchange. And to be frank, Falco's lasers eliminate options much better than anything Fox has. Fox can somewhat do stage control with platform and dashdance camping but preventing the opponent from attacking in a favorable position at all while being able to better situate his own attacks is an amazing ability and you shouldn't undervalue it.

I kinda want to read the ****storm you're referring to. If you want I'll trade passwords with you and you can read the MBR and I'll read the PMBR and neither will post on the other's account. I used to do stuff like that all the time. The MBR is kind of disappointing though and it's probably not a fair trade lol

^ You probably shouldn't post stuff like that in public...
There's 100% no way for smashboards to track it, not even the MODCP lets you access log-in IPs. It's pretty much only post IPs and an honor system. Oh, and they have whatever IP your registered from and your referrer, which is a cool side novelty I guess.

edit: lol those project m debates. this is why i have no friends.

How would February 18th - 20th sound to you guys for the next big PMBR meetup? President's Day weekend, far away enough to reserve time off from work, hopefully.

I personally can do the weekend of Jan 21st the earliest, but I figure President's Day would be most accessible for everyone.

If I'm invited, I'm free then as well.

I remember watching friends play the DBZ card game. That match analysis is the closest look i've ever had at the mechanics though.

I do play MtG, and it absolutely is one of the most expensive games to keep up with. I've personally had a lot of fun with it though, some of the combos in the game are downright mean. I like that each of the 5 main color types are based on a certain type of play-style. Generally speaking.

It's awwwwwwn.

Looking forward to meeting and playing you, Vanguard! I'm still under the impression Lucario is pretty balls, but I'm hoping to be proven wrong. :)
