I was 7 when I first played the first Zelda. That very game made me a lifelong fanboy 
Took me weeks/months to beat it? Don't remember but I remember thinking how hard the game was since old nintendo games use to be so vague and cryptic (and self erasing)

Finally, the project that I have been working on these past few days that took me away from the Link boards is DONE!

Anywho, it took me about 3 days to beat my first Zelda game. I was about 8 at the time?
Then again, I would play it for 16 hours straight a day without pause. It hooked me that badly, and I've been a Zelda fan/addict ever since.

Well, the friendlies made it worthwhile. I got to play a few games with some great players. It was a good learning experience. I'm going to more tourneys from now on.
