So to get things started, when I look at the DACUS info I read this :
Dash Attack Canceled Up-Smash (DACUS)
Dash Attack Cancelled Up-Smash refers to using a dash attack, but cancelling it with an up-smash. This allows characters to be able to use their up-smash faster and with a greater range.
This can be a very surprising attack, and if your opponent is not ready for it, it could be lethal. Falco has one of the best DACUS's in the game.
Also known as Boost Smashing.
Controls: Press forward on analog stick (initiate dash) > C-Stick down (initiate dash attack) > Analog stick up + attack (usually with R or Z set to attack)
To perform this, turn tap jump off. The idea is to do a dash attack and then immediately up-smash. How long you have been running has no influence on the speed or distance of the boost smash. The key is canceling the dash attack with the up-smash. The quicker they are done in succession, the faster and further your boost smash will come out. The reason tap jump should be off is so that if you hit up on the analog stick too soon, you don't accidentally jump instead of up-smash.
The description is wrong and misguiding.
USmash doesn't come out faster and doesn't have improved ranged.
Dacus just uses the momentum of your dash attack to make you slide during your Usmash.

The "also known as boost smashing" should be right next to the top to facilitate navigation.

And regarding the inputs, if you have Tap Jump Off it's simpler to dash using diagonally up and forward instead of just forward, so you only have 3 inputs to do instead of 4 (dash ; Cdown > A instead of dash ; Cdown > up+A).

And yeah, the 3 main collapses aren't necessary.

Not a bad idea. Hopefully somewhere on the board there are pictures of Falco's hitboxes. If not, I'm sure someone can make them...

Zonderion hasn't been active since May 27th. How are we supposed to go about making changes? Vlade?

Sorry I haven't been active. Life happens. As it is, I probably won't be active for a while more. If there is a Moderator that can change the owner to someone else so they can make the changes, that would be the easiest. If not, I can send all the coding to some, DR3W maybe, and they can change it however they feel best suites the Falco Community.

Life happens.

Understood.

I personally wouldn't have cared if there weren't little things people wanted to fix.

You guys think I should re-post it?

I'm not sure if this has been brought to anybody's attention yet, but the videos to the AT's have been taken off of youtube. :/

I would do it, but I don't know how to do a couple of the AT's such as the BDACUS. I could contribute most of them to help out though.

I couldn't.

I'm not good with technology and all that video transfering stuff. The quality would be terrible too. I'm not sure if any of the boarders could help either. Those vids not being there bother me a lot.

Even though I was joking, I'm sure you can see a lot of AT's on my match versus juice.Cyanide on YouTube lol

I might make a video showing the ATs in a few weeks if it isn't done by someone else by then.
I don't have a lot of time atm.

Well ****. This is a really good guide dudes. I'm picking up
Falco as a secondary to my king, and you certainly spelled out
how-to very easy. Well done.

Can I just suggest a small change regarding the description on illusion canceling? Instead of
Controls: Side B > Quickly press B again (to cancel the illusion)
put "press B again in the middle of the phantasm animation. Depending on when you press B during the phantasm determines what type of cancel you get."

I know it's a minor detail, but I feel that this helps somebody understand the timing to specifically controlling the length of the cancels.

I just reread some of the guide i think we sould update it with this information.
Mostly knock back stuff.

Up tilt knockback cahnged to 4 it is one of falcos most reliable kill moves.

F tilt knockback changed to 4 it kills later then up tilt not earlier

Nair knockback changed to 3 i have never seen nair kill

up air knockback could be changed to 5 its so easy to di

I feel that the reflector is only a 3 falco move. Its not on the same level of usefulness that the laser and our grab.

Who is the best Falco player and worth watching and learning from?

I don't play much brawl, only ever with my brothers friends and they usually do a big 32 man tourny.
I would like to kick all there ***** at it and I play Falco, I need someone to watch and copy from.

Thanks I hope this is the right spot to post this in I was gonna make my own thread but the moderators got upset last time I did that.

This type of post is usually meant for the Q&A thread. Anyway look in the video archive thread. It's kind of outdated but should be enough for what you need. Watch any video of BluB, DEHF, Gluttony, Rain, Shugo and SK92. If you want more recent stuff, then search youtube for the same players. And next time, Q&A thread please

You want to watch and copy? Yeah, good luck with that.

That's a really bad way to improve. You have to learn the character, not the person, if you want to improve. Start from the basics and use each move creatively and efficiently to your advantage. That's what makes a good player, not replicating someone who has done that.

There are yes and no's to this.
In short you should be able to do both, and it will make you a more versatile player.

Everybody should know there options, and what's safe ect. Interpreting that into a playstyle is also personal, but that doesn't develop overnight. If you are able to emulate someone else that you enjoy watching or think is good, then that's another step in a different direction. Being able to do what came before you is just as important as going forward.

It's much easier to relate this to music but for example, if you only play in your region, and you only are expanding your character knowledge as far as you can see (and what you have experience against), then you are essentially limiting yourself on a world scope.

something new isn't always as effective as what is necessarily efficient.

TL:DR
learn both
