I'm playing against a diddy named smile soon. I know you beat him at apex, any tips for me if you can remember how he plays?

When Diddy has a nana in his hand. Do Not rush diddy. Pay attention to what he is doing. Most people just wanna rush in and Dair or go in with Fair. That typical gameplay is not gonna work. Remember that his options are limited. When he has a naner. he can't use any of his special attacks. When he does toss it go on about fighting him. But don't go all aggressive. Diddy will just Fair you every time. When a Naner is near you, Ground Float Nair near it and Drop. You will Grab it. So there is no need to dash attack it to get it. Kills times. Also you can do this if Diddy goes in for a dash attack to get it. This can hit diddy and you grab it.

Time Ground floated Nairs to grab the naners and toss it back. Or play around with it to do damage on diddy. So Can have both naners under your control. Also ground float alot. Both air and ground game grounded Plus a naner game from Peach. The Pressure diddy will be having, he can't do anything out of shield. And throw in Z drops in the mix. since when pressured, Peach has shield advantage. So all they can really do is side step or roll.

When you have naners under your control, get that tunip game in as well. Have a naner in front and behind you. or even on platforms for traps. and play around with your turnips. You have a wall along with Naners. And if diddy wants to get in. you have your spaced ground floated moves to turnips/naner set ups. You have him set up with naner traps the way Diddy does it in general. he can have only 2 naners out at once. They will be under your control plus you playing with turnips. He now has his peanut gun that turnips go right through (also your Nair). he wants his naners? he has to go through your turnip and naner play/wall. Or wait for them to vanish Which you can take advantage of.

When Diddy has a naner, do not approach him so relkess, or at all). He can toss it all he wants. That does not mean you have to go to him. You are by no means commited to approach him. And you can catch them easy. They become yours and you start from square one. Get your hits from diddy and if you can't pound on him anymore, just get away. If he has a naner in his hand. You can wait for the toss or grab a turnip and hold it. Use that turnip to save you incase he goes in with something. But don't do this all the time. Cause it can limit your options to counter attack or break away.

Now lets say you go actually get inside diddy. This is where people screw up alot. People don't pressure him correctly and diddy just rolls away and now you have to work on approaching him again. When you get in Use Jab pressure. Like jab him once to Short hopped dair to another Jab to w/e you want after. Jab cancel as well to punish side steps. Or if you double Jab, don't mash it so face. Delay the jab. This catches side steps and punish grabs OoS. Here is one thing people fail to realize. When you pressure a character, they are forced to ether roll or side step. That is their only options. Now you knowing this, time to pause habits and make reads. if you pressure them in a corner they most lieky spot the enemy will roll is behind. So do a pressure game then grab/attack behind you. Cause thats where they will roll, and punish.

Center stage people can roll in ether direction. That's something you have to pay attention too. "Ok, when I pressure him, he always likes to roll away from me?" So when you pressure him, run forward to a dash attack.

"Ok, when I pressure him he loves to side step?" Jab cancel to snipe him out his side step and Grab him. Or Jab once and continue the pressure after you got that sidestep out. fools left wide open to get tossed around.

its all about reads and mindgames with this. Also playing close attention to the enemies actions. Her pressure game actually helps you make good reads and make it really hard for the enemy to get away from you without taking damage.

if Diddy everhas the lead, don't sweat it. You can actually use this same method to bring it back. Play around with your toys and his to get damage and just get that stock.
