Won another tourney yesterday. Sunny and I are essentially Colorado's top 2 and we're both using mostly luc.

I had a HUGE issue with sunny's rosalina though. Do any of you have an success dealing with Rosa's SH Nair? because it completely bodied me for all of grand finals.
From my limited experience, just get away from her when she tries to nair, never try to challenge unless you know the blindspots. Maybe at higher percents try to hit her with a giant AS if she is overextending. I wish I could say more...

The advice is much appreciated, though. And I, too, wish you had more to say.

I could only run away for so long until I ran out of stage

I just THOUGHT of something. Might not work in execution, though. Maybe you can just keep spamming Aura Spheres at Rosalina with her Luma in with her, the Luma can always get hit by hit. But can the Luma dodge or shield along with Rosalina?

This sounds like it might take too long, not to mention that she wouldn't just sit there and let it happen. Most likely, any good Rosa player would've already sent the luma up in your face, giving you the business end of things. But I don't think the luma can block or anything like that, so any attack against it would potentially work.

Try dash attack at low percentages and Force Palm at high percentages. Maybe consider Piercing Aura Sphere if customs are allowed.

The fact is, Rosalina is going to be a tough MU no matter what gimmick you try. As soon as Luma is dead, go as ham as you possibly can.

Yeah Luma can not block or dodge and any attack disconnects control from Rosalina so you can ruin a bit of their momentum by bullying Luma with repeated hits of the first part of the a combo then move in.

Its just that a lot of Rosalinas I experienced are aggressive as heck. They do send in a Luma from time to time, but I don't think the Luma is that vital to them. Maybe against a professional Rosalina main would care about it.

The luma is Rosa's most important tool. Any player that uses her should care about it completely. It's just that the experts know how to make effective use of it.

Rosalina is one of those matchups that you the more you play, the less scary she becomes kind of like Sheik.

Oh nonono. Sheik was not that character for me. Its just Rosalina and the other five characters I mentioned earlier. And Robin. But I can deal with him just fine.

The others, still don't know what to exploit properly.

Is lucario legitimately top tier or what in this game?

I see a lot of cry babies (ie; zero gonzalo barrios namesearch all you want) are getting upset at video games but I felt the hitbox nerfs are too strong.

All I care about is whether there is some sort of graph or equation out there to calculate lucarios multiplier factoring in aura and 'rage' effect. Lets see exactly how powerful lucario is at say, 70 and 120%. Since if at 70% he is STILL weaker than average while after 120 he becomes ludicrously strong, then id say he is pretty well balanced.

Zero if you are reading this, just stop wasting time and main lucario already. If he ends up being top tier, youre going to use him so why wait? You can push ZSS all you want but if it becomes apparent lucario is better youll drop her like a sack of bricks to main lucario and judging by your complaining (given than you are pretty damn good at the game) Id say luc probably is better.

He's definitely up there. His attack strength is godlike and his recovery is second to none. He has his weaknesses (like needing to be beaten to a bloody pulp before he's a threat, among other things), but if he's not SSS tier, he's at least high A.

Well Im learning who I can KO at derp %, just snagged a Link with a partial charged Fsmash from the edge of the stage and sent him to the totally opposite side and got the KO at 46% *I was at 133%*.

And since learning about charging aurasphere at the ledge to edgeguard I have been winning a bit more than usual. It feels like cheating against Dedede though, I made quite a few Dedede mains mad today and one even straight up suicided after I dragged him from 26% to 90%.

Lucario is maybe top 3 or 5 right now. but I think in time he will fade to top 10. He's quite strong with aura boost and a good combo game.

Lucario will be Brawl status again. He's really good but not many people will like his playstyle and will skip over him to main someone easier to play.

If a tier list will happen, Lucario should be in at least top 10. But I think King Dedede, Greninja, Sonic, ZSS, Sheik, Fox, and Rosalina & Luma will rule in the S tier of the first tier list.

But in my opinion, I feel like everyone's top tier. Sounds crazy, but I'm an open-minded gamer.

After playing a number of Lucario dittos yesterday, I can safely say the matchup is fun and stupid at the same time. You haven't experienced true silliness until you cancel an Aura Sphere with Force Palm.

If anyone is up for playing today, let me know. Being sick sucks.

Looks like there is I have little time to do Lucario dittos, since my rented SSB43DS copy needs to be returned tomorrow. Still down for some matches, though.

Could you possibly force a Rosalina's approach by trapping Luma in an ASC?

Hmm, I've been thinking where Lucario will be tier-wise ever since the game was released in Japan. I think we have a lot to work with that either has not be clarified or hasn't been found yet.

I'm not sure what we are supposed to do DIwise now because the vectoring thread had many other claims with crouch canceling. Once we do know though... Remember Lucario increased his tier placement in Brawl when our DI improved.

Another thing we probably haven't explored much is Lucario's gimping possibilities. FAir has a reasonable amount of hitstun, so we might have some footstool combo options at low %. Think UThrow -> FAir -> footstool. Remember, footstools cannot be teched.

Air Walk is an okay tech too. Kinda harder to do with the 3DS stick tho.

I really like Force Palm beam for gimping, myself, when they are above/on level with the stage. Below I like dair and bair.

Yeah, at least they made it super obvious when he has Aura now.

It might just be because I mained Wario in Brawl, a character notorious for having poor range, but I don't think Lucario's reach is a problem at all. I don't mind going in and getting rough and the power tradeoff is pretty worth imo.

Oh and btw I got an early copy of Smash 4U. http://i.imgur.com/Z8VGjMu.jpg

I see no issue with range...when past 90%!
Naw, seems to be quite alright.

Damn, I'm jealous. I really want a cube controller instead of the clunky 3DS...

Less than two weeks before the real fun begins.
