The final tournament of the ASL season is coming up on the twenty eighth. It's that time of year again. Currently looking to create a panel for the next edition of the AL PR. I would propose a panel of myself, Luis, and Cam.

As much as I like seeing my name as the thread owner, I'm sure I'm going to have to give it up whether you decide on a merge or not.

As I stated on the social thread, a merge with a top 10 would be great. For reason cam stated above.

KY here. We did that with Indiana once! It was cool and really from my perspective up here y'all and Georgia are pretty much the same.

And also you'll have to commission me for more than last time if it's going to be top 15.

A lot of the players on both sides have stopped playing anyway. We lose Billy, Micaelis, 4GOD (though it's because of the the summer), Ragnarok, iPuff, and JMIX. At this point, I think a Top 15 is nothing more than making potential honorable mentions feel better about themselves. If you don't think you'd ever make a merged Top 10, and you're at least partly playing to get better, why else would you care? May as well make a list out of everyone that regularly goes to tournaments and call it a PR.

I mean, off the top of my head, here's a bunch of strong players we have that probably deserve to be ranked or have a shot at being ranked after their recent tournament performance.

Maybe I'm just blowing smoke here, but we have enough strong players for a top 15. And that's not just a list of people who regularly attend tournaments.

Yes, we could make a top 15 with potentially "strong" players....but we could make a combined top 10 with the best players.

I don't care about the best players though. Nor do I care about having a PR look strong for other parties. If you want our region to look strong, then travel and win.

I wan people who are trying to improve like Ty and Shark to have something They can point to as an achievable goal. It was my goal for a long time just to make top 10. I don't need that anymore, now I'm driven to start placing top 3 at events. I don't think anyone we have who could feasibly make even a top 15 AL/GA PR needs that motivator.

So again, I will ask, what do we gain?

Micaelis got a girlfriend and doesn't seem willing to go to anything outside of a convenient Salty Spitoon. 4GOD's been in Florida for at least a couple months.

Also, having more than fifteen legitimately good players does not at all justify putting fifteen people on a PR. Otherwise, it would be the norm. Our scene is small compared to most.

Not in the realm of motivation, but I have been proven wrong. So I can accept the change. It wouldn't really motivate me anymore than I already am though. So it isn't the solution for me to attend more tournaments.

Are you talking to me? I will attend tournaments. I don't need a PR for me to honestly know if I'm better that someone. Some people like to have the pride recognition. For brawl, specifically(not other areas of my life), I really could careless about PR. Just wanted to make thing clear.

Who doesn't like to win. IMO winning is usually always better than losing. And if people stop attending tournaments, because they feel like they can't get PR'd anymore then we defiantly shouldn't do it.

Major tourney in FL Sept 22nd. If any1 wants to they can stay @ my place the night beforehand and then go to Orlando the next day to ease the trip.
