We need to start holding mass smashfests between tourneys and the day before tourneys(Billy, Ryker and myself discussed this after the tourney). We need too start sharing info such as MU and techniques, patience, how to be aggressive when its time..etc. We've become a stronger state especially since we've fused with pcola. Doode, Thomas, and Saint are great editions. So we have tools to compete with others lets start getting the guns ready people str8 up. I hope most of you will b down for this idea.
I blame Spade for being a wuss and not showing up last weekend. Then I wouldn't have had to spend forty-five minutes discussing that last spot.

if i could just sit there all night and learn stuff about smash and be 100 percent serious then i would be so down for that anytime that i could. i literally crave to know everything and be the most experianced that i can.

Ehhhhh I'd say Montgomery but between terrible restaurants and homeless people asking for money, I'd limit any interest in wanting to go there just to hang out at something that isn't a tournament.
I'd say Auburn is our best chance, but I dunno.
If it happens, I have a challenge to issue. Spade, Cam, Ing, Slam, T1J, and myself. $5 round robin winner take all, but he has to buy second place IHOP.

I'll host one of those smashfests here in Tuscaloosa. I can literally get a venue for it for free that has seating and TVs and stuff.
I know T-Town isn't exactly in the middle of the state, but I can do it if there is interest.

I would go, but Anime Weekend Atlanta is the same day, so I cannot. I imagine most people are in the same boat.

Hey guys, A.R.K. IV is coming up September 17th-18th in Jacksonville, AR! We are expecting ~200 people with games such as Melee, Brawl, BlazBlue:CS II, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Mortal Kombat 9, SSF4:AE, Street Fighter 3rd Strike: Online Edition, and more! Smashers are coming in from several states to compete!
Note that our tournament is working on securing sponsorships from well known companies which will each be providing additional prizes and bonus pots for our tournaments. The Traveling Circus has expressed interest as of this time. Also, well-known regional modder DaRabidDuckie will be on hand to provide dual mods (PS3 <-> 360) for fight sticks.

I found out that AWA is September 30-October 2, breaking the tradition of being the third weekend of September. I feel like an idiot.
