If you do mean MK, then I don't really know how you'd do. A lot of people have learned that matchup fairly well, so you may have trouble against higher level players like Reflex or Lou for instance who have learned the matchup well. I'm not saying you couldn't win, but I think it would certainly be a roadblock. One of your biggest advantages in playing Olimar was that people didn't devote enough time to learning the ins and outs of the matchup. I think Olimar players in general would be in a lot of trouble if people actually bothered to learn how to fight against him. Good players have learned MK though, and bad players will lose to you no matter who you use anyway.

I'm not saying you should use Olimar again; I'm just saying that maining MK has its disadvantages in high level play.

You thought YOU were playing sloppy? I, sir, was playing sloppy. I had a lapse in judgement and for some reason cped with Pictochat, which has the highest ceiling of any legal stage. Because of that, I was not able to thunder kill you a few times. I literally had a stock up on you in our second match but couldn't finish it off with utilt or thunder because the ceiling was too high. That was a really stupid counterpick on my part.

I'm not really sure how you could feel confident with the Pikachu matchup anyway considering the real lack of Pikachu players in our area. We've never had a really great Pikachu main in Alabama. Bigman is almost certainly the best Pikachu player between our two states, and you don't sound like you've even played against his Pika before.



You should tjolt a lot in that matchup imo. Kirby hasn't got anything on tjolt.



I would pit our top 3 or 4 against GA's, but after that I think they've got us beat.

i haven't really played many of the GA players except kismet and mlg pro lounis
and they wreck me
but im just as good as most of the al players talking in this thread so it will be interesting to see

I like how most everyone here is talking like they are good at brawl. Yes you are all good at brawl. But you are not exceptionally good like Lounis, Kismet, Billyboy_ , and Reflex. It doesnt take much to get good at this game. I haven't played brawl in a very long time. Since Zero's last house tourney actually. I promise that I will be able to hold my own against you guys. Not because I'm good or because you are bad but because this game has a terrible skill curve.

the main thing that makes the "Pros" better than everyone else is the ability to read their Opponents (especially ones who are hard to read) and Knowledge of the game. First being a whole lot hard to learn than the second. M2K is so good because he has insane ability to read his opponents and he simply knows just about everything there is to know about smash.

Out of all of those I'm certain I can only lay a beating on Scatz. I'm 0-2 against Micaelis, Dynomite is a really solid player (that you lost to @Zero), Alby inactive Dedede and has plenty experience against Marth, betting I couldn't take a set off of him either. Neo is a maybe.

I don't see Cheap Peach beating any of them either, you may have a better shot at me at taking more stocks of course, but in the long run I don't think we'd come up a bit short of winning if it were an AL bottom 5 vs GA bottom 5

other than that one tournament i placed good in and beat you in, kola.
you and the other newcomers to teh AL smash scene have not seen me actually play this game.
for about a year straight i couldnt get practice in before tournies or even play with nayone other than scrubs so i would just show up to tournies with no practice and the whole time getting worse and worse at the game.

i just really hate it when you and zero make assumptions about how good i am bc they are TERRIBLY inaccurate. not your fault. you just started smashing at the absolute lowest point in my career and my career will never be that bad again bc i got wifi and am now part of this scene again :D

guess what I just placed second in AL's Tourney in teams. And i dont play brawl. at all. oh and I did this with Mario.

No one wants to play brawl cause it not a fun game for the most part. Everyone stopped playing B+ cause Project M is going to kill it anyway. and you are not good at this game either so dont try to act like you are. I dont play brawl and I should have beaten you. I can pick up brawl and do good. you could NEVER pick up melee and project M and even touch me as the skill curve is much high and you are a scrub.

Slam you're saying that people are getting an inaccurate read on your skill level but you're underestimating our bottom 5 at the same time. GA has really been stepping it up but because you didn't attend any of our tournaments lately you weren't able to witness it. And definitely don't underestimate michael he's improved alot...I wouldn't be surprised if he made top 3 on our pr at some point.

I think GA's PR would beat our PR in a crew battle. However, I also think that is due to the fact that some really skilled players in AL stopped going to tournaments and were knocked off our PR due to inactivity (i.e.- Moogle, DanGR, Nice1, Mahgnittoc). I don't know if Georgia had the same thing happen with their players or not.

imo the results would still be the same. We're still skilled players who haven't gone to a competitive tournament for a while. It makes me sad that Janitor wasn't one of the people in that list though Cam : P (xD even though it was just a brief example)

I've actually played Nice1 a lot at MLG. I was teaching him Falco and showing him the Snake/Pika matchup. He'll be a good contender for PR, but idk if he's technically ready yet since I'm, more or less, the weakest one on the PR.

I remember playing DanGR, and I think he would've been a good contender if he kept playing. Idk about the rest though.

The only real inactive player is Alby right now, and he still attends tourneys.
