How about we try why they should be higher or lower as well, just for the sake of discusion.


Marth should be at the top of the list, the combination of his range and speed in my opinion make him the best in the game. With good distancing and mind game he is very hard to beat.

Kirby should be at the bottom of the list. He has little range, little knock back, he's light, he's slow. His recovery is easy to predict. As a character over all I think he's the weakest. Aside from that I'm happy with the list.

My greatest surprise is that Marth isn't #1 - his sheer range and priority combined with virtually no lag time between moves and the fact that if he hits you from further away it hurts and smashes more!!
Obviously I have more trouble with Marth than any other player but you'd think he'd at least be in the top tier area.

Didn't you read my post? The list isn't about who's better, it's mainly about who does well in tournaments and who doesn't.

Seriously, they all win at the top level, yet people continue to reason that one character is 0.00001% better than another. As M3D pointed out in another thread, you have no choice but to go win tournaments in order to change anything. Sitting on a forum and debating it is not going to change anything. Getting into the SBRoom is definitely the first step.

I'm just making a point. OK, so Sheik is the best too. Regardless, they all win, so it is silly to debate which one is "better" this late in the game.

yeah, sheik, fox, and marth =OP but i only think falcos above sheik and marth because hes so much easier to be good with, so instead of him being that good you just get more people who are good with him.

With Sheik's faster speed and longer grab range, he/she is no doubt a better CGer than Ganon. But I still say that Ganon can CG Sheik better than Sheik can CG Ganon. 0-90 at least.

Let's be realistic here.

Shiek's chaingrab is much easier to perform. Also, she has MANY ways to get in a grab compared to G-dorf.
With this in mind, Shiek chaingrabs G-dorf better than G-dorf chaingrabs her.

ACTUALLY...Reed isn't that good...at all. Good Roys= NEO and Selthon.

Good with spacing? You do know that Roy has more range then most of the characters in the game, but however, is low tier? With that in mind, being really good with spacing doesn't mean ****. Especially when's Roy's moves are sooo bad. By the way, DK has good spacing himself, better than Roys (tiltss, Bair, etc.). Oh, and wait! DK combos better, kills better, lives longer...etc etc.
Also...in case you didn't know, DK is a counter to Roy, every experience Roy player knows this. So not only is he a better character, he also ***** Roy. Don't get me wrong though, I don't hate Roy, I use Roy myself.

All of this isn't my opinion though, it's facts.

By the way, when making a tier list, you have to consider how well players do. Roy players do awful lol. DK players do alot better. Bum got 4th at MLG and Mexican got 13th or so at Super Champ Combo. Can't name any Roy player who places well in tourneys besides NEO (who also uses Marth).
